There is a race to see which Three Musketeers is better. EW reported that Doug Liman is officially signed on to direct Warners' side of The Three Musketeers. The Warners' side will start production this fall.

For those familiar with the story, Duke of Buckingham is of course, the nemesis of The Three Musketeers. Anderson is going for a contemporary feel with his movie, which will be in 3D, without losing the period setting. Anderson wrote the script with Andrew Davies.
