UPDATES ON SPIDER-MAN REBOOT, THE HOBBIT, BATMAN 3 AND SUPERMAN REBOOT

Since a couple weeks ago, the internet and me have been very busy. I was busy on my assignment, thus the reason why this blog has not been updated as frequent as it was. Since October 18, notice the new layout on Green tea Movie? Yes, the change was amendment since some of the oversea visitors have some trouble assessing the previous layout which I like actually. Oh, back to the business - the internet has been actively updating news regarding some of the high prolific projects around the town. This is Green Tea Movie's summary:

SPIDER-MAN REBOOT

The Marc Webb's superhero with webslinging actions is truly heading to a new direction. While Peter Parker will be played by Andrew Garfield, there are a few interesting casting notes to be taken seriously here.

  1. The previous report has that there will be two love interests in the new version of Spider-Man, in the forms of Mary Jane Watson and Gwen Stacy. The contenders? Emma Stone, Mia Wasikowska, Dianna Agron and Georgina Haig. Nevertheless, on October 5, the role of Gwen Stacy has now indeed belongs toEmma Stone (Easy A, Zombieland). So the next question is who will be MJ?
  2. No spider-Man is complete without his villain. British actor Rhys Ifans has signed on to play the film's villain but who? On October 13, Sony has finally threw the bucket and it is confirm that the main villain for the reboot will be The Lizard, a role supposedly taken by Dylan Baker if the Sam Raimi - Tobey Macguire's version still alive.
  3. The production will begin this December and will set for July 3, 2012 opening. Could this achieved the same level of blockbuster that Sam Raimi - Tobey Macguire - Kirsten Dunst have once achieved?

THE HOBBIT

So the issues of bankruptcy involving MGM Studio is almost towards the end. Good news is:
After so much delay, Peter Jackson's The Hobbit has finally received a greenlight it has been waiting for. The Hobbit has gone through many ups and downs, while it has been a point of blink into collapse once following the departure of Guillermo del Toro from the director seat. But here's something to end the waits, MGM says it is now official and production would begins this February. Peter Jackson is likely (almost secured) as the director, responsible for the two-parts movie.
Treat this as rumor.  The main character of the film is none other than Bilbo Baggins and now there are some contender now for the role. Martin Freeman has been the top choice so far. The Doctor Who David Tennant, Michael Fassbender and James Nesbitt have been currently attached for some roles in the movie.

BATMAN 3

There are still not so much movement yet on this project. At this point, we can only say that:

  1. Christopher Nolan will direct the third film. It comes with much of a relieve since many fans are fearing the maestro may be passing the torch to some one else. Now we know that Batman 3 is in a safe hand.
  2. Tom Hardy, who has won some appraisal with his performance in inception for C Nolan has joined Batman 3. who could he be? A villain in the form of The Riddler, The Penguin or Killer Croc? We are waiting for more confirmation soon.

SUPERMAN REBOOT

Another pet project by Nolan although he is not directing it. Here are some news that maybe worrisome and mesmerizing at the same time.

  1. Superman Reboot has received some boosting. Fame director that has created the 300 and Watchmen, Zack Synder has been picked up to direct Superman: The Man of Steel. Wait, is this studio's choice or Nolan himself? The name Synder is both worrisome and mesmerizer. Synder has done so well in the movies like 300 and Watchmen, which has earned him some love and recognition among the comic fans. Still, Synder will be working from the supervision of Nolan himself.
  2. Another worrisome news, some early words has that Warner Bros wants Synder to fix some serious mess over the script. Oh dear, we hope that isn't true.

There is again, a question on who is the main villain never stop bothering us. The recent revelation has that the criminal Kriptonian General Zod will be Superman's next foe. So no more Lex Luther? Hurray. Well, still pretty much a rumor.
