Today is the day you have been waiting at! In fact this week is the week when more and more gigantic news revolving some of the high prolific production will be unmasked one by one. One of those are the upcoming Michael Bay's closing chapter of the Hasbro's radioactive-metal-robot-clinging-fighting-awesomeness-from-the-foreign-terrestrial-planet of Cybertron. For those who have been waiting at this day, it seems it is a day that pays off well. Here's the treat and enjoy.
Now how has the trailer pays off your day well, or at least at mine? First, it gives pretty much the texture and structure into the story. SPOILERS ALERT: Some machinery crash-landed on the dark side of the moon. The government of Soviet Union and United States space race was one of the cover up for the incident and it turns out that machinery belongs with the Cybertronian. Autobot leader, Optimus Prime seems pissed off because he was not informed of such secretive program by the government (pun, conspiracy theory again!). When he was informed, it's all too late. It is found out later, that most of these machinery - are the Decepticons, now led by a ruthless and cruel robot, Shockwave in the final attempt to conquer the Earth.
Secondly, the action sequence looks estranged from those you have seen, or you have despised in the second installment, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The trailer cuts in a few spectacular, detailed and orderly action sequence that I thought feel more organic and believable rather than just dead bombing. Just look at the scene when Optimus Prime flies from nowhere, lands and starts to chop the Decepticons, that is one few scene we have seen before but know it is a much needed extra bad-ass scores. It looks like director Michael Bay has really taken the movie into a whole new level.
In the movie, a mysterious event from Earth's past erupts into the present day and threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us. Transformers: Dark of the Moon stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Ken Jeong, Patrick Dempsey, Alan Tudyk, John Turturro and Leonard Nimoy.

The film was previously named Dawn of War and War of the Gods before being officially named Immortals and is loosely based on the Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur and the Titanomachy. It is set to be released in 3-D on November 11, 2011 by Universal Pictures and Relativity Media. Now the first trailer has been released and you can watch it below:
Here is the plot synopsis:
"The brutal and bloodthirsty King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) and his murderous Heraklion army are rampaging across Greece in search of the long lost Bow of Epirus. With the invincible Bow, the king will be able to overthrow the Gods of Olympus and become the undisputed master of his world. With ruthless efficiency, Hyperion and his legions destroy everything in their wake, and it seems nothing will stop the evil king’s mission.
As village after village is obliterated, a stonemason named Theseus (Henry Cavill) vows to avenge the death of his mother in one of Hyperion’s raids. When Theseus meets the Sybelline Oracle, Phaedra (Freida Pinto), her disturbing visions of the young man’s future convince her that he is the key to stopping the destruction. With her help, Theseus assembles a small band of followers and embraces his destiny in a final desperate battle for the future of humanity."

If you have your ears and eyes got sore with the buzzes you have with the recent visit by the teen-pop sensation Justin Bieber to Malaysia (and he thought he is in Manila just like Bruno Mars), I do think that this article is really for you! Similarly, this is also regarded not a suitable story for people with heart problems, weak-heart-syndromes and pregnant mothers as this story proves to be more scarier than Halloween movies. Perhaps you might want to take the risks and die laughing at it.
The freaky story is: Mark Wahlberg and Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber are collaborating for a film over at Paramount Pictures. Okay, I see a lot of people falling off from their chairs now. Vulture and Deadline have the details. Apparently the planned movie will have nothing to do with Youtube, dancing, singing nor 3D concert written all over it. Instead, it gets serious and dark, possibly. This is what Mark Wahlberg said:
"[The film will be] more of a drama. It’s interesting, right? You want to know. They’ll probably announce it. They may announce it fairly soon … [I play] kind of like a reluctant mentor [to Bieber's character] in an inner-city environment. You know, I don’t want to say.” (Vulture)
Additionally, reports from Deadline:
"will reportedly revolve around street basketball. The tone of film “is described as [Martin Scorsese's] ‘The Color of Money’ meets ‘The Karate Kid’.” (Deadline)
I have no idea what is on Marky's mind but it seems that he liken the idea of working with Bieber. For that, I am refraining myself to commenting about his decision. Wahlberg is a good actor but how much he can lift Bieber into becoming a serious actor. Good points to note though is that Wahlberg started off his career as a rapper before donning into the films. So, my one and only question to you is - can Bieber follows the footstep of Marky? End of lines.
Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson will produce with Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun. The script will be written by Ian Edelman.
P/S: Have you ever seen Bieber in a dramatic role before? This is what happened to him.

No one has ever thought the series is now on its eleventh year. Since 2001's Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, the franchise has grew steadily and has been regarded as one of the most lucrative, highest grossing film franchise in the history. It could not go wrong as all the seven installments have grossed at least $800 million worldwide - that's a staggering $6 billion over the last 10 years. Now, the popular wizard boy series is closing its chapter with another BIG BANG.
ABC television network premiered the first insight into the action-packed and even darker conclusion to the saga. You can watch the new trailer of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 below:
If there are no other words perfectly describes it, then I would say this is simply amazing. I am not really a Potter fan but this trailer is exclusively explosive and I am officially sold. I was looking forward to actually see the final 350 pages or so which will be the final encounter and battle between Harry Potter and Lord Vodermort, so no camping in the wood now, YEAH!! We shall wait for the coming of the final movie this July 15 as it will be storming to the cinemas worldwide with another fat lumps of money for distributor Warner Bros. As usual, David Yates is directing with star ensembles of Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Ralph Fiennes, Alan Rickman and Helena Bonham Carter. Oh, Harry Potter and the deathly Hallows Part 2 will also be released in 3D.

{UPDATE} Green Tea Movie has added another long and new international trailer which has several new footages in it. I believe this is for UK version or something. Check that below:
Despite the confusing marketing tactics employed by the people at 20th Century Fox with unimpressive posters and image stills, the trailers of the X-Men: First Class offer a very different take and it is officially makes me utter only one word - AWESOME. If the first teaser trailer and the subsequent international trailers did not make you think so, watch this brand new trailer:
OFFICIAL TRAILER #2:
It clocks about 2 minutes and 40 seconds which by the standard of modern theatrical trailer is considered long. You got a very familiar opening but after that everything you have not see is shown. The brand new trailer takes thing more deeper by discussing the intellectuality of the minds of the two founders and leaders for the group of mutants where the audiences got a chance to listen to their thoughts and philosophies. Also been tackled are the issues regarding the future as well as the consequences of exposing themselves to the society. Previously in the first preview post, I mentioned about the racism and equality issues will anchored the film and the new trailer satisfies that notion pretty well. X-Men: First Class will look upon the society acceptance in the end and how will the government pretty much in need of their mighty services. But in the end of the day, 20th Century Fox has yet made some clearance on what or how will the Hellfire Club members will affect the plot.
NEW INTERNATIONAL TRAILER:
The X-Men: First Class cast includes James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Kevin Bacon, Jennifer Lawrence, January Jones, Rose Byrne, Nicholas Hoult, Jason Flemyng, Zoë Kravitz, Lucas Till, Oliver Platt, Ray Wise, Edi Gathegi, Caleb Landry Jones and Álex González. That is a whole list of name to be mentioned but we all know that this film is directed by Matthew Vaughn and produced by Bryan Singer. X-Men: First Class hits theaters on June 3rd worldwide.

Terminator 5
James Cameron made the first two Terminator movies with legendary signs pasted and attached with them. From the original 1984 movie about the war between the human and the cyborgs, followed by 1991's Terminator 2: Judgement Day, which was hailed as one of the best science fiction movie, the franchise has changed our perception towards the sci-fi genre and giving a new breathe of stylish yet smart flick. Then in 2003, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machine looks a little fatigue while it was not that bad at all, it failed to recapture the moments from its predecessors. Just 2 years ago, Terminator Salvation was released to chronicle to live of John Connor several years after the event in Rise of the Machine - and that was disappointing. =(
Fear not, we might have a new wind of changes as the development of the fifth Terminator movie seems imminent! Whether it is a good or a bad news for the idea of having another installment, one thing for sure is that the original Terminator will be back. Oh, when I said the original Terminator; I am talking about Arnold Schwarzenegger. Yes, we shall run that liner gigs again - "Hasta la vista" and "I'll be back!" After 7 years of politic career where he was "elected to lead, not to read" (The Simpsons Movie), the Californian governor has openly expressed his desire to return into the showbiz. Recently, there is an animation known as The Governator is been developing together with Stan Lee.
Now, Terminator 5 (not sure if this will be the title or not) is already on development given the momentum it has been picking up since the exclusive rights to the franchise has been secured by Pacifor in a "heat-battle of custody last year." Realizing the potential of the new installment, the service of Fast Five director Justin Lin has been secured to helm the movie and Deadline has now reported that Arnie is officially attached. It is also noted that Universal, Sony, and Lionsgate are already giving serious consideration to Pacificor’s package.
Now that leaves a lot of stuffs to be filled in. What will the story, the setting and the direction of Terminator 5 would eventually take? Should we see Arnie doing another round of cyborg-ass-kicking with a black leather jacket, sunglass and a palm gun on his hand again? Is it even possible for us to have a new Terminator while Arnie doing some light supporting role? Should the continuation story of John Connor as we have seen in Terminator Salvation (although it bombed very badly) be considered for the fifth round? We hope to hear more in the future.

Ally Darling (Anna Faris) looks back at the past twenty men that she has had relationships with in her life and wonders if one of them might be her true love. It is based on Karyn Bosnak's book '20 Times a Lady.'

A CHINESE GHOST STORY (18)
Genre: Action/Drama/Fantasy/Romance
Release Date: 21 April 2011
Running Time: 100 minutes
Distributor: Golden Screen Cinemas
Director: Wilson Yip
Screenplay: Charcoal Tan
Starring: Louis Koo, Liu Yifei, Yu Shaoqun
Plot: Following the 1987 horror rom-com classic starring Leslie Cheung and another two movies after that, Wilson Yip directs a new version with Louis Koo and Liu Yi Fei. Yip says he aims to put his own spin on the familiar story and it isn't a sequel, but rather a brand-new story, employing new elements such as CGI effects. Yin Chek Ha (Louis Koo) was determined to become a good Demon Hunter but one day, he made a big mistake when he broke the rules of his Demon Hunter brotherhood. After that, he hides himself in the Black Mountain village. He knows his heart is still with Black Mountain and he tries hard to kill all the demons he encounters to numb himself and forget a woman (Liu Yi Fei). After many years, history repeats itself and he realises he has left his heart with her.
Review: More than 2 decades ago, Tsui Hark created a wondrous tale about how human and a ghost can actually fall in love, thanks to the great performance by the late Leslie Cheung and Joey Wong. A story based on a popular short classics of Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio, A Chinese Ghost Story becomes a great metaphysic story that push for challenge in the border of human relationship, as well as the beauty craftmanship in the film. The movie goes on to eventually became a classic cult and revamp how the Hong Kong film industry in regards of treating their horror flick. Today, Ip Man director, Wilson Yip takes the story for a remake and changes a lot of the details of the story. With such a vast differences occurring, how this new remake fair?
In this modern uptake, the film is based on Louis Koo's role, a taoist and demon hunter Yin Chik-ha. Years back in an attempt to hunt down the Tree Demon at the Black Mountain, he met a beautiful ghost, Nip Siu-sin (Liu Yi Fei) and eventually both of them fell in love. While their love grown fondly, there is a cruel fact that they couldn't ignore. Knowing that it will be impossible for a human to have a relationship with a ghost, the couple decided to give up their love in the most painful manner. Chik-ha made Siu-sin forgets about him, and later headed towards into separate ways.
One day, a young scholar by the name of Ning Choi-san (Yu Shaoqun) comes to the village to try to resolve the villager's water problem. He reached a temple where the Tree Demon (Kara Hui) sits and Siu-sin attempts to draw his energy for her master. Siu-sin unwillingly to kill Choi-san but disobeys her master, only to realize that she might have fall in love with Choi-san. Yin Chik-ha in the meantime tries to tell Choi-san that Siu-sin is a spirit but their argument only create a massive confusion of their triangular love. What are the fates of such relationship? Will Chik-ha able to free Siu-sin from her master?
It comes to a little disappointment because the movie is unable to match up the beauty of the original. The story has been altered too much of its extent but I thought the decision to involve more about Chik-ha into the original story has created an effective triangle love dilemma. Still, the movie is unable to generate the much needed emotion and does not stir enough touching moments to relive the nostalgic tale of the 1987. The romance sounds like a superior version of Twilight but ended with a mid-note due to the poor execution from director Wilson Yip. There are plenty of melodrama and mishead story that adds into the already-less intriguing plot. In the end, it comes below my expectation after all.
Bow down on this new A Chinese Ghost Story with a low expectation, it might still be fun. The lack of emotional and touching elements may not be anyway hurtful since it is already inferior to the 1987 original. Watch to kill your time.
THE RATING:
Story: 2.5
Casts: 3.0
Cinematography: 3.5
Effects: 3.5
GREEN-TEA-O-METER: 11.8

Yes the title above is intended to be longer. The summer is almost here in the United States, but for those in Australia, this week they will be the first in the world to have their eyes soaked with the first two summer blockbusters. Fast Five and Thor are opening in Australia, taking an advantage due to this weekend will be a six-days profitable business for their box office - starting Easter. Thor will only open in Australia before rolling out to more international market next week, before opens at the United States on May 5. Fast Five will open next week. In Malaysia, Thor opens on April 28 and Fast Five on May 5.
To sink your anticipations, Green Tea Movie has compiled several banners and images for you to ponder before the big guns are coming.
We have three character banners from Transformer: Dark of the Moon - where Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Shockwave will be making some giant-iron battle coming this July. Malaysian audiences will most likely able to see it arriving on the last weekend of June, no doubt trumping yet another box office record. In 2007, the first Transformers hailed as the highest grossing movie in Malaysia, a record that was broken then in 2009 with the sequel. The record of RM26 million (roughly estimated) will definitely be broken again. Be sure to catch the premier of the new trailer coming next Friday.
Next on our list, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. The movie will be opening day and date worldwide on May 19, follows the new adventure for Captain Jack Sparrow to search for the mystical fountain of youth. Joining him this time are the beautiful Penelope Cruz and her ruthless father, the fearsome Blackbeard (played by Ian McShane) while Captain Barbosa (Geoffrey Rush) is back too to provide yet again another love-hate relationship with Sparrow. Coming Soon obtained a huge banner poster that has our four characters embedded in this Russian banner.

It has been a while since Robert Zemeckis last directed a live action feature. Can anyone remembered his last feature that does not involved any animation or cap motion? Pretty hard isn't it? A check in IMDB's site, the Back to the Future series and Forrest Gump director has last directed Cast Away back in 2000. Perhaps after a decade of dedicating his life to make animation and capture-motion pics, 'Flight' could be a chance for him to venture back the traditional genre.
Following the dead-in-the-water Yellow Submarine, a movie supposedly depicts the Beatles (in cap-mo), Zemeckis has been circulating around this project which has John Gatins writing and Denzel Washington currently attached to star. The movie will enter production this summer if all going well for Zemeckis who is currently still in talks with the Paramount Pictures executives. According to Deadline:
"'Flight' has similar harrowing moments to the unforgettable airplane crash that left Tom Hanks stranded on a deserted island. The fictional tale revolves around a commercial airline pilot named Whip Whitaker. When his plane malfunctions and a crash seems imminent, he saves the day with some heroic flying and manages to land the plane with minimal casualties. He's instantly hailed as a hero, but as an investigation into the cause of the crash unfolds, it becomes clear that he was flying under the influence of drugs and alcohol. The film is the pilot's journey as he is encouraged to wear a hero label he thinks he doesn't deserve, while the pilot's union and airline try to keep the facts under cover because of the high stakes involved."
I hope to see a return into the live action for Zemeckis soon and 'Flight' should be a great step back into the business. Recently, Zemeckis is also attached to produce a new live action/animation/adaptation of 'How to survive a Garden Gnome Attack.'

Universal Pictures has finally preview the much waited comedy starring Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds. Now, here comes a red band trailer for the body swapping comedy The Change-Up, let me remind you - it's a 'red band' but not so much been a 'NSFW' itself. The story is another recycle of movie about people swapping their bodies (I mean while alive) when they actually wish to be somebody else. By the power of magical fountain where they pissed on, it happens. Watch the trailer embedded below:
IN The Change-Up, Mitch (Reynolds) and Dave (Bateman) were inseparable best friends, but as the years have passed they've slowly drifted apart. While Dave is an overworked lawyer, husband and father of three, Mitch has remained a single, quasi-employed man-child who has never met a responsibility he liked. To Mitch, Dave has it all: beautiful wife Jamie (Leslie Mann), kids who adore him and a high-paying job at a prestigious law firm. To Dave, living Mitch's stress free life without obligation or consequence would be a dream come true. Following a drunken night out together, Mitch and Dave's worlds are turned upside down when they wake up in each other's bodies and proceed to freak the &*#@ out.

Does this sounds like Freaky Friday, 17 Again or even The Hot Chick? Yes, I'm pretty sure it is. Despite how people live, they still would wish to be in somebody's life. Now Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman can taste how other's life are. The movie is written by The Hangover writers Jon Lucas and Scott Moore and directed by David Dobkin (The Wedding Crashers). The Change-Up is coming this August 5 in the United States and October 27 in Malaysia (after major cuts of course)

Green Tea Movie brings a sad news from Libya. For most of us, if you have been reading about the on-going crisis in Libya, it is clear that the fightings between the rebel insurgents and those who are loyal to president Muammar Gaddafi will not coming to an end anyway soon. Since February 15, the fightings have been ensuing across the nation and now Libya is divided into two. The conflict in Libya, currently coined as 2011 Libyan Civil War has all eyes transfix on that one of the worst humanitarian and political crisis. It has claimed more than 8,000 peoples including civilians.
April 20, 2011 will marked the darkest day in the documentary movie industry. Tim Hetherington, a British photojournalist who shot into fame for his documentary film Restrepo was died from a mortar attack while covering the front lines in the besieged city of Misrata, Libya. He is 41.
According to the source from NY Magazine, "photographer André Liohn, who is currently in Libya, confirmed the death of Hetherington and Pulitzer Prize–nominated photojournalist Chris Hondros on his Facebook account (Liohn has since deleted this message while some reports on Hondros have him severely injured), adding "when they arrived [at the hospital] no one even had their names. I hope that with this post their families can get notified."
Both photojournalist have frequently contributed to vanity Fair and a condolence statement from the magazine has been published via their Twitter:
Hetherington shot to fame when his war documentary with collaboration from fellow Vanity Fair contributor Sebastien Junger, Restrepo was an acclaimed hit in 2010 Sundance and went on to garner an Oscar nomination for best documentary at this year's Academy awards. The project saw the pair spending 10 months embedded with a battalion of U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan’s dangerous Korengal Valley region.
R.I.P. Tim Hetherington (1970 - 2011). My deepest condolences to the family of late Tim Hetherington.

About Thor, which will be making its way next week in Malaysia (and early May in the United States), Feige hinted that the "Thor will go off into a new adventure" after The Avenger (2012) movie. Similarly, "Captain America will continue to explore the modern world in another film of his own." Captain America: First Avengers will be arriving in cinemas in July. With the intriguing hints, we know that Marvel Studios, unsurprisingly, have plans to develop more movies about the characters itself."
Feige also mentioned about the other possibilities for the numerous Marvel characters including the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization. He said, "We hope that holds true for the characters appearing in that film — Black Widow, Hawkeye, and the spy organization, S.H.I.E.L.D. — all of whom are more than worthy and capable of carrying their own films. And, we've got a lot of other characters we're prepping and getting ready for film debuts: the world of martial arts, these great cosmic space fantasies, Dr. Strange, and the magic side of the Marvel Universe. There are many, many stories to be mined."

It is indeed an interesting statement considering Marvel Studios will not only focusing on the well known characters within the Avengers series, but also even looking for potential in other relatively unknown characters like Dr Strange. Previously, we already have plenty of rumors regarding other characters long considered for a stand alone movie like Ant Man, Hawkeye and Black Widow. Nathan Fillon at one point was considered for the role Ant Man. Jeremy Renner whom has been given the task of Hawkeye in next year's The Avengers, stand alone S.H.I.E.L.D movie and Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow (appearing in Iron Man 2) were one of those deemed positive for a stand alone project. Although those are only rumors at this state, this reflects the commitment Marvel Studios is ready to give in. Whether you like it or not, projects seem to be piling up at the studio's decision desk. As for now, we shall focus on the The Avenger series since it will be released next year!

SCREAM 4 (18)
Genre: Thriller/Horror/Mystery
Release Date: 15 April 2011
Running Time: 110 minutes
Distributor: Dimension Films, Nusantara Edaran Filem
Director: Wes Craven
Screenplay: Kevin Williamson
Starring: Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, Adam Brody, Anthony Anderson
Plot: Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro after 10 years for the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey (David Arquette) and Gale (Courteney Cox), who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill (Emma Roberts) and her Aunt Kate (Mary McDonnell). Unfortunately, Sidney's visit also brings about the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger once again.
Review: What's coming for the fourth time when the fourth time is practically unnecessary? The answer is Scream 4. Lucky enough, it is not a reboot but it is still a sequel; one that takes some times before a new one coming in to strike again. Back to my earlier question, is it necessary to have a fourth trip down the town of Woodsboro for another slashing session by the Ghostface? Well, not necessary. It's been more than a decade since the popular slasher trilogy which I supposed is completed but returns in a new decade with a set of new rules. Yes, you can juggle around Wes Craven's name but he is no longer a consistent maestro of horror anyway. So, does Scream 4 worths all the bloody desires to establish perhaps a new trilogy?
Scream 4 started out with some cameo from Kristen Bell, well to show some scenes from the film within the film, the Stab series. On the fifteenth anniversary of the Woodsboro massacre by Billy Loomis and Stu Macher, high school students Jenny Randall (Aimee Teegarden) and Marnie Cooper (Brittany Robertson) are attacked and brutally killed by a new Ghostface. (Of course we have a new Ghostface or else we won't have this fourths series after all). Whether it is a right timing or what so ever, the following day, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) returns to Woodsboro to promote her new self-help book but ends up becoming a suspect in the murders. With some crucial evidence in her rental car, she is forced by Dewey Riley (David Arquette) to stay in Woodsboro until the crime is solved.
While in town, she stays with her aunt Kate Roberts (Mary McDonnell) and cousin Jill (Emma Roberts), who is dealing with the betrayal of her ex-boyfriend Trevor Sheldon (Nico Tortorella). As expected, the Ghostface killer continues to slaughter victims, taking the lives of many people (mostly teenagers of course and those related to Sidney in some way) in the town. Sensing the danger, the Rileys and Sidney Prescott must band together, racing against the time to identify the new Ghostface killer before things turn out of control. In the process, they (and you too) may encounter some major twist (or rather surprise) in the end. So, ask yourself this and brace yourself to look for the answer - who is the new Ghostface killer?
Looking at a bright side, Scream 4 is way better than last December's My Soul To Take. Oh God, that was a terrible piece of writing and it felt inconsistent and purely predictable! For some relieve, the good news is that Scream 4 avoided those trends convincingly, all thanks to some form of smart partnership between director Wes Craven and writer Kevin Williamson. We have seen this partnership been effective when they created Scream - one of the horror slasher genre best. It opens up with some smart-deriving horror talks because basically everyone in Woodsboro loves watching horror films, and like an Inception-movie within a movie, we are introduced into the movie franchise known as Stab, adapted from Sidney Prescott's real life event. Yes, Scream 4 has an intriguing and smart access to its witty and funny dialogues. From the plot aspect, there is a lot of memory to live for in Scream 4 given that it provides genuinely-enough screams and thrills for you to endure for the next 110 minutes. Yes, enough scares for you to last till your last bite of pop-corns.
But there is a big problem lying there just like any other forms of horror slasher. It is sometimes mistaken for been sickingly-stupid due to the fact that the story Scream 4 is trying to sell is pretty much cliche and too formulaic to begin with. We have seen these same old tactics of horror slashing, suspenses and unbelievable twists from Craven again and again. Sometimes, it gets kind of tiring because we get familiarize with this kind of suspenses, particularly if you observed the similar pattern from all the Scream series. Scream 4 is not a groundbreaking horror experience and works more like a remake of the first Scream movie that caters the younger generation. There are also plenty of stereotyping here; for instance, the victims have to be some sicking annoying and hormone-enraging teenagers. Why all blonde are so dumb? And here's the best - why only the killer is been a smart-ass and able to pop-up here and there like he/she possesses some ability to walk fast-swifting and invisibly?
There are plenty of plot holes, some deem illogical and feels unreasonable at times trying to connect each details. For some of the teenagers here in Woodsboro, clearly they only cares about making fun of the Ghostface massacre dating back 15 years ago and the fact that they are dumb to learn from the history. The victims are just ignorant and allowing themselves to be an easy target after all. Despite four Scream events, I bet we will have the fifth one and again, no one learns from the mistake, well except the primer three. SPOILERS, the story fails to bring in a bigger and stronger case on why Jill Roberts wants to take on the role of the Ghostface. It's a bit silly to think of the reasons that she gave. However, Scream 4 is not all that bad when it comes to playing some pure horror, bloody multiple stabbing game. It comes with style and wit, for that what makes Wes Craven so famous for. Yes, there are same old tiring stuffs that dare the cognitive for survival, yet that's the smart elements that gives a giddy reminder on how awesome the original Scream movie was.
Scream 4 works more like a remake of the first Scream movie. It sorts of 'rebooting' the same old pattern of killing and now known as a cycle to terrorize after 15 years of silence. Once again, it is just been formulaic, showcasing stereotyping and lack of human insight consciousness among the teenagers that live here in once bloody pool of Woodsboro. It is not that bad, considering there are dialogues you can laugh for and some silliness you can chuckle to.
THE RATING:
Story: 3.0
Casts: 3.0
Cinematography: 3.5
Effects: 3.5

We knew that roughly weeks ago that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is going to play some role in the upcoming Christopher Nolan's final chapter of the Batman saga, The Dark Knight Rises. Back then, we speculated that Albert Falcone, the son of mob boss that became the main antagonist in the first movie, could be one role Gordon-Levitt might be playing. However, that piece of speculation was quickly shot down. Then, it was also rumored that Marion Cotillard might have a role too, playing Talia al Ghul, the daughter of Raz al Ghul from Batman Begins. Well, all I can say is that both actors are officially joining in the mega-production but they are not taking on the roles previously rumored. Despite the fans speculating over the two important and established characters in the Internet, Nolan took a different direction and chose to give them original roles instead.
Nolan had nothing but nothing but positive words for the two who he clearly wanted to work with again after Inception. He went on commented:
“When you collaborate with people as talented as Marion and Joe, it comes as no surprise that you would want to repeat the experience. I immediately thought of them for the roles of Miranda and Blake, and I am looking forward to working with both of them again.”
Now here comes the fun part of breaking the details. Joseph Gordon-Levitt (JGL) has been casted as John Blake, a cop working for Commissioner Gordon (Gary Oldman), working on a special assignment for Gordon. Marion Cotillard will be playing Miranda Tate, a member on the board for Wayne Enterprise and it is believed her role will be aiding Wayne (Christian Bale) in sorting and continuing his father's "philanthropic endeavors for Gotham."
Despite the announcement, some are still speculating that this might be a cover up for other bigger roles. For that, it could not be a no-brainer at all. Speculations still firing up whether "John Blake" could be an infiltration from the mob gang seeking for revenge or merely "Miranda Tate" could be also an infiltrator - particularly since everyone has been thinking that she might be playing as Talia. It is still possible but while the movie is preparing to start shooting next month in Pittsburgh, all these can only be another endless possibilities. Why not wait for a few months and see if we ever get a trailer. So be it?
Another rumor circulating across the net is the fact that Worst Previews insisted that Dr Hugo Strange may still be part of 'The Dark Knight Rises' storyline. An unconfirmed story so far is that "As Batman deals with his new status as a wanted vigilante, Dr. Hugo Strange, a villainous psychiatrist, concocts a plan to destroy him and become the new Batman."
Also making their rounds are returning cast; Nestor Carbonell who is in negotiation to reprise his role as Gotham's Mayor. Diego Klattenhoff and Burn Gorman are also being eyed for supporting roles.
The Warner Bros production will conclude Nolan's Batman saga. Nolan will direct the film from a screenplay he wrote with Jonathan Nolan, from a story by Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer. Christopher Nolan will also produce the film with his longtime producing partner, Emma Thomas, and Charles Roven. The Dark Knight Rises is slated for release on July 20, 2012 worldwide.

June 2nd, 2011 is just around the corner. Malaysian fans as well as the audiences around the world will get their first taste on the X-Men franchise prequel, when Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class will be released into the theaters. Everyone must be well informed now (or in case you have not) that X-Men: First Class is not a continuation of the well-known X-Men trilogy we have seen, rather it goes back behind serving as a complete prequel to the trilogy. X-Men: First Class will look on how X-Men is first established, going back into the origin, a look into the day of formation and the day when Professor X (Charles Xavier) and Magneto (Erik Lehnsherr) were friends. Things then turn ugly and proceeds into the known events that happen in the modern day where a bit of shear rivalry and partition of the special mutants into two schools of taught. Let's walk down into Green Tea Movie's preview article on X-Men: First Class in terms of the story and what kind of characters you must expect from the movie. It's spoiler-free but it contains essential needs to understand the movie backhand. Due to the length, Green Tea Movie will be breaking into two parts where the first part will be dealing on the story of the movie as well as an introduction to the both main characters - Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr; while the second part will be more on the First Class members. Plus, there will be exclusive new images on the end of this part.
Last August, producer Bryan Singer (director for the first two X-Men movies) revealed to Screen Rant that the prequel will be unlike of those in the comic books, hence the different between the "X-Men: First Class" comics and the film adaptation. Several key differences include that the setting will be during Kennedy presidential period and during the Cuban Missile Crisis (The October Crisis) in 1962, and a more classical X-Men costumes will be used (more similar to the comics than in the previous movies).
X-Men: First Class will explore how Charles Xavier an Erik Lensherr met during their young age in 60s with confinement towards achieving the same goals for the future of the mutants. Some controversial remarks involving equality and racism are expected to be part of the movie itself. Thus, the Civil Rights Movement is also part of the story.
While the mutants are working out to confront the possibility of the nuclear war between the United States and the Soviet Union, they will also have to confront their other nemesis - a bunch of mutants known as the Hellfire Club, headed by Sebastian Shaw (Black King) and Emma Frost (White Queen).
The plot synopsis, taken from IGN is as follows:
In First Class, you will probably not seeing him the same as the Charles Xavier you see in the trilogy. In his early days, he is not bald and able to walk, but we see his ability dwindled because of his ability to absorb superpowers. There might be a chance that we may get to see how he starts to lose his hair and unable to walk in the movie, probably due to another reason. The portrayal of the younger version of Professor X will be be morally reprehensible relative to the calm and collected Patrick Stewart we all know from the X-Men trilogy. In an interview with MTV last September, McAvoy was confident that he can do better, realizing the shoe he is filling was Patrick Stewart. He said:
In First Class, it will be fortunate that we are able to look deep into Lehnsherr's character. In the article by Screen Rant, a sneak peak at the opening sequence will be a recreation of Magneto's Auschwitz flashback from Bryan Singer’s X-Men followed with Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon) is pressuring a young Erik Lensherr to use his magnetic powers to their full capacity. Been a Holocaust survivor, Lehnsheer began a deep hatred towards the monster who created him. He is remorseful vengeful and as you might have suspect, his initial friendship with Xavier will be put to a test over their contradicting opinions and thoughts. In an interview with IGN, Fassbender thought about his character as been good or evil:
As promised, Green Tea Movie has scooped up some interesting new footages from X-Men: First Class and two new TV spots. With the new images, I hope you are excited for the coming of the mutants this June. These images are all available from Total Film and Screen Rant. Enjoy!

The plot synopsis, taken from IGN is as follows:
"X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men"
THE TWO LEADERS
Professor Charles Xavier (Professor X)
The leader and founder of the X-Men. He is played by British actor James Mcavoy (Wanted, Atonement). Professor X's abilities are on telepathy (mind reading and control, illusion and induced paralysis)In First Class, you will probably not seeing him the same as the Charles Xavier you see in the trilogy. In his early days, he is not bald and able to walk, but we see his ability dwindled because of his ability to absorb superpowers. There might be a chance that we may get to see how he starts to lose his hair and unable to walk in the movie, probably due to another reason. In an interview with MTV last September, McAvoy was confident that he can do better, realizing the shoe he is filling was Patrick Stewart. He said:
“I think the fun about these films, when you go back and you either reboot or do a prequel, is you get to see how people became who they are. That means that you have to do them differently and by the end of the movie you have to do them the same way. The interesting journey is what happens to them, what changes them, what makes them evolve — not just mutate, but emotionally and psychologically evolve. I would suggest by the end of the movie and the start of the next movie, it’ll be more like what Patrick does. Or maybe not. Maybe it will still be in a period of flux, if there is a new movie.”
Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto)
The leader and founder of the Brotherhood of Mutants. He is played by rising German actor Michael Fassbender (300, Inglourious Basterds). Magneto's abilities include magnetism manipulation, metallic bending and a skilled strategist himself. He is remorseful vengeful and as you might have suspect, his initial friendship with Xavier will be put to a test over their contradicting opinions and thoughts. In an interview with IGN, Fassbender thought about his character as been good or evil:
"I don't really think in those terms to be honest - good and evil. I think about what he wants to get and how motivated he is and what sort of morals he has got in place. It's like I see him as very much a Machiavellian character - the ends justify the means. And he is in a situation where he is right, really, you know? It's like homosapiens vs. Neanderthal and the mutants are the new version. Everything he says is right. The history of the human race is that we are pretty much destroying everything, including ourselves. So he is saying that this is an innately destructive and self-destructive race, and mutants are the way forward. So there is sense to what he is saying."
