Today, Green Tea Movie will presents to you two trailers - one from Ryan Gosling + Emma Stone and another one from Ben Affleck. Warner Bros releases and produces both movies, set for release at the end of this year just in time for the award season, both look like some form of high-octane thriller and both having their trailers have landed online now. Hit the jump to catch the trailers for 'Gangster Squad' and 'Argo'.

'Gangster Squad', a new movie by Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer from a script by Will Beall is about a true event concerning Los Angeles in 1949 where mobster rules the street. The movie stars the charismatic Ryan Gosling, enigmatic Emma Stone, the high octane Josh Brolin and the persuasive Sean Penn. With the range of casting talent we have in this one, it smells with a lot of potential Oscar acting nominations already surrounding it.

The plot for 'Gangster Squad' is as follows:

Los Angeles, 1949. Ruthless, Brooklyn-born mob king Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) runs the show in this town, reaping the ill-gotten gains from the drugs, the guns, the prostitutes and--if he has his way--every wire bet placed west of Chicago. And he does it all with the protection of not only his own paid goons, but also the police and the politicians who are under his control. It's enough to intimidate even the bravest, street-hardened cop...except, perhaps, for the small, secret crew of LAPD outsiders led by Sgt. John O'Mara (Josh Brolin) and Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling), who come together to try to tear Cohen's world apart. "The Gangster Squad" is a colorful retelling of events surrounding the LAPD's efforts to take back their nascent city from one of the most dangerous mafia bosses of all time.

'Gangster Squad sets for release in the United States on November 9, 2012 while no release date is set in Malaysia yet.

'Argo', is also based on the true event. This will be Ben Affleck's third directorial following two successful outings of 'Gone Baby Gone' and 'The Town'. While the previous two has some dark tone on it, this has some serious tone with a plan that sounds way too comedic. Nevertheless, based on Joshuah Berman’s article about the 1979 Iranian revolution from Wired Magazine, it forms the basis for Chris Terrio’s Argo script, wherein six American members of the country’s U.S. embassy manage to seek refuge in the home of a Canadian ambassador – after Iranian militants storm the establishment. Knowing it is only a matter of time before the six are discovered and killed, a team of CIA agents rattle their brains, in an effort to come up with a rescue plan. 'Argo' stars Ben Affleck, Alan Arkin, Bryan Cranston and John Goodman.

The plot for 'Argo' sounds like this:

Based on true events, "Argo" chronicles the life-or-death covert operation to rescue six Americans, which unfolded behind the scenes of the Iran hostage crisis--the truth of which was unknown by the public for decades. On November 4, 1979, as the Iranian revolution reaches its boiling point, militants storm the U.S. embassy in Tehran, taking 52 Americans hostage. But, in the midst of the chaos, six Americans manage to slip away and find refuge in the home of the Canadian ambassador. Knowing it is only a matter of time before the six are found out and likely killed, a CIA "exfiltration" specialist named Tony Mendez (Affleck) comes up with a risky plan to get them safely out of the country. A plan so incredible, it could only happen in the movies.

'Argo' sets for release in the United States on October 12, 2012 while no release date is set in Malaysia yet.
