TAYLOR LAUTNER WILL BE STRETCH ARMSTRONG

The hoohaa over the Twitter last week was caused by this piece of note from Universal regarding the casting of Taylor Lautner to play the title role in long-planned Universal adaptation of the Stretch Armstrong toy. It is just been to much of a custom to tell you also that it will be shot in 3D for a possible 2011 or 2012 release.

It looks like the boy has emerged as a hot property around the town with upcoming shooting includes Breaking Dawn, Cancun and Max Steel on the list.

The current script was panned by Steve Oedekerk which according to Empire Online, "a straight-arrow spy stumble upon a stretching formula that allows him to fight crime more effectively even as it impacts his personal life."

According to the statement by Unviersal's co-chairman Donna Langley, “In the past two years, Taylor has emerged as a real star at the global box office. He brings the perfect balance of energy and athleticism to the role of an unlikely super hero with a fantastic super power.”
