Avoiding itself to be get confused with Avatar, thus the Avatar's name was dropped but M. Night Shyamalan's latest (his first non-self-scripted materials, non-thriller that based on Nickelodeon's properties) looks promising. The story sets in the world where elementary properties are controlled by people known as "benders". The peace is maintained until the Fire nation wage a war against other three great nations. One last survivor boy form the Air nomad, Aang is the only hope to stop the ruthless operation.
The Last Airbender is due on July 2, 2010 in US and July 22 in Malaysia.
