NO EMILY BLUNT BUT SEBASTIAN STAN FOR CAPTAIN AMERICA

Emily Blunt, recently seen in The Wolfman, has reported passed out the female lead role of Peggy Carter in Joe Johnston's The First Avenger: Captain America. The reason; many believed to be fact that she is close to signing on to another project, which may be due to higher paycheck on the other side, according to LA Times.

Previously, Marvel Studios has conducted testing on three actress: Kiera Knightley, Alice Eve and Emily Blunt for the role. Then, Marvel decided to make an offer to Blunt but she has now officially passed. Well, Blunt was once offered the role of Black Widow in Iron Man 2 but she was forced to pull out too due to conflicting schedules with Fox's Gulliver's Travels.

On another development, Marvel Studios has announced the casting of Sebastian Stan to play Captain America's sidekick, Bucky Barnes, according to The Hollywood Reporter. In comic book lore, Barnes, a teenaged orphan, was too young to join the army but became one camp’s mascot. When he discovered Captain America’s identity, he joined Captain America as a partner in his Nazi-fighting escapades. The character died in Captain America’s final World War II adventure.
