The Killer Inside Me, released under the banner of Icon and Revolution Films (IFC) had a premier last January at the Sundance. It was later nominated for the Golden Bear at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival and is part of the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival. Finally, the movie will have a limited theatrical release on June 18, 2010.
Nothing is grand enough to inching closer to the release date if not having a trailer accompanying it. Ever since it premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, Michael Winterbottom’s adaptation of the Jim Thompson novel The Killer Inside Me has been sparking controversy for Casey Affleck’s portrayal of damaged (and damaging) sheriff’s deputy Lou Ford. I mean, judging by the trailer, he looks amazing. Joining Affleck in the thriller are Jessica Alba, who has a smooth move as the prostitute out of town. Check out the trailer below:
