THE FINAL DESTINATION 5 GETS A DIRECTOR

Surprisingly, I don't think I want to see any of these again. But, shutting down the franchise seems inevitable, they are cheating their own death by bringing in the fifth outing. The best part is it gets a new director.

Who? Steven Quale. Quale is known in Hollywood as the protege of James Cameron, spending years helping Cameron through films like The Abyss, Titanic and recently, Avatar as second unit director and visual effect supervisor. Impressive? Indeed and his little resume was enough to have Warner Bros/New Line Cinemas to sign him up.

Heat Vision Blog reports that the production will begin this September in Vancouver, supposedly for a release next year. Quale will have the opportunity to work on Eric Heisserer's script - which I hope will turn out to be good. It seems no matter how sucks the fourth movie is even in 3D, we are now getting another one. Holy Lord!
