HIT GIRL GOES HICK

Seven weeks ago, I enjoyed Kick-Ass so much that I though the future of the young girl named Chloe Moretz would be bright in the future. Yet, that future isn't take that long to happen. She has completed her filming for the soon to be released vampire-flick remake from a Swedish movie Let Me In. She is also going to undergo production of The Fields and Martin Scorsese's The Invention of Hugo Cabret. Looks like the in-demand actress just doesn't stop there. Latest, she has been picked up for Derrick Martini's indie drama Hick.

In Hick, according to Empire Online; Moretz will play Luli, a 13-year-old Nebraska girl with a hard-knock life. Her parents are drunks who argue at the local bar every night and when they both leave home, Luli is left to fend for herself. Taking her parents’ Smith & Wesson pistol, she hitchhikes to Vegas, running into several undesirable types along the way and becoming mixed up in a botched robbery.

The drama with dark character background should not be a problem for Moretz considering that her role in Kick-Ass was equally disturbing too. This girl has lots of future - and I hope she doesn't ended up like Lindsay Lohan. Filming begins in New Mexico later this year.
