NEW TRAILERS: THE TOWN, FASTER, THE DEBT AND THE SOCIAL NETWORK

THE TOWN


The trailer for the upcoming crime drama by Ben Affleck arrived last week together with the release of Inception. Hailed as the next from the star who directed Gone Baby Gone, Affleck returns to direct, write and star in this movie based on Chuck Hogan;s Prince of Thieves; about four bank robbers as they are pursued by the law enforcement. Affleck plays a professional thief who falls for a bank manager (Hall) after a dangerous heist. He struggles with this newfound relationship whilst evading a tenacious FBI agent (Hamm) looking to catch him and his crew before they rob another bank. The Town stars Ben Affleck, Rebecca Hall, Jon Hamm, Jeremy Renner and Blake Lively. The Town opens on 17 September 2010 in US and 7 October in Malaysia. Watch the intriguing trailer below:







THE SOCIAL NETWORK


Some may have seen it. The new full feature trailer of the upcoming David Fincher's take about the foundation of Facebook, The Social Network has finally landed with a full trailer after two teasers previously. The Sony Picture's uptake on the successful story of Facebook has some theme over greed, betrayal and genius in it. After all, it was taken from Ben Mezrich's 2009 book The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding Of Facebook, A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal. The film features an ensemble cast which consists of Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Brenda Song, Rashida Jones, Max Minghella, Rooney Mara, Malese Jow, and Joseph Mazzello. The movie is set to open on October 1 (in USA, opposite Let Me In) and on 18 November in Malaysia. Here is the trailer in case you have not watched it yet. FASTER


Fans of The Rock or Dwayne Johnson should be rejoiced! The macho man has back into his own comfort zone of genre - the action pack one and not some tooth fairy! Dwayne Johnson headlines Faster, a new action movie about an ex-convict avenges his brother's death after they were double-crossed during a heist. George Tillman Jr will direct the movie for CBS Films and TriStar Pictures, released on 24 November in USA and 2 December in Malaysia. The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Billy Bob Thornton, Carla Gugino, Moon Bloodgood, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, and Maggie Grace. Get a glimpse of the revenge on the teaser trailer below:





THE DEBT


The upcoming drama/thriller directed by John Madden, which itself a remake of the 2007 Israeli film of the same name, will see the story of three young Mossad agents on a secret mission to capture and kill a notorious Nazi war criminal in 1965. Thirty years later, a man claiming to be the Nazi surfaces in Ukraine, and one of the former agents must go back undercover to seek out the truth. The thrilling movie will have two sets of casting for each role, since there will be one in 1965 during the mission and another thirty years later. The film stars Helen Mirren and Jessica Chastain (Rachel Singer), Ciaran Hinds and Sam Worthington (David), and Tom Wilkison and Marton Csokas (Stefan). The Miramax title is set for release on 29 December in USA and 6 January 2011 in Malaysia. Catch the heart-stopping trailer below:
