Thor, just like Iron Man 2 and The Incredible Hulk, these movies that will paved way for the 2012's release of The Avengers, an ambitious mega project movie that will gathers the superheroes from Marvel's world of the Avenger. This adaptation of Thor, which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It's while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.
Earlier in the summer, we have an exclusive easter-egg presentation after the credits of Iron Man 2, where a close-up footage of Thor's well-known hammer, Mjolnir was featured. Read back the post in case you have forgot at this link. Since then, we have heard a lot about the production of Thor, including some hiccups and rumors about post-converted 3D. In conjunction with the release of the trailer, here is the new Thor poster for you to marvel, as taken directly from Marvel's website.
The poster highlights nothing much, only the costume design of the character of Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth seems more to be discussed about.
The trailer for the movie Thor starts with Thor has already arrived on the Earth, interrogated and held captive in what looks like a military facility. His identity was unknown at first but then, the trailer takes audience into the heavenly world of Asgard. We see his father, Odin (Anthony Hopkins) briefly before he was banished to Earth. Upon arrival to our world, he met a brilliant scientist Jane Foster (Natalie Portman). The rest after that are about actions.
Thor will arrive in cinema across the United States on May 6. Malaysian audience will be able to watch it a week earlier. Thor is presented in 2D and 3D format.
