Today is the day you have been waiting at! In fact this week is the week when more and more gigantic news revolving some of the high prolific production will be unmasked one by one. One of those are the upcoming Michael Bay's closing chapter of the Hasbro's radioactive-metal-robot-clinging-fighting-awesomeness-from-the-foreign-terrestrial-planet of Cybertron. For those who have been waiting at this day, it seems it is a day that pays off well. Here's the treat and enjoy.
Now how has the trailer pays off your day well, or at least at mine? First, it gives pretty much the texture and structure into the story. SPOILERS ALERT: Some machinery crash-landed on the dark side of the moon. The government of Soviet Union and United States space race was one of the cover up for the incident and it turns out that machinery belongs with the Cybertronian. Autobot leader, Optimus Prime seems pissed off because he was not informed of such secretive program by the government (pun, conspiracy theory again!). When he was informed, it's all too late. It is found out later, that most of these machinery - are the Decepticons, now led by a ruthless and cruel robot, Shockwave in the final attempt to conquer the Earth.
Secondly, the action sequence looks estranged from those you have seen, or you have despised in the second installment, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The trailer cuts in a few spectacular, detailed and orderly action sequence that I thought feel more organic and believable rather than just dead bombing. Just look at the scene when Optimus Prime flies from nowhere, lands and starts to chop the Decepticons, that is one few scene we have seen before but know it is a much needed extra bad-ass scores. It looks like director Michael Bay has really taken the movie into a whole new level.
In the movie, a mysterious event from Earth's past erupts into the present day and threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us. Transformers: Dark of the Moon stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Ken Jeong, Patrick Dempsey, Alan Tudyk, John Turturro and Leonard Nimoy.
