TRAILERS: THE DESCENDANTS, SHARK NIGHT 3D, FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS

For today's selection of trailers cocktail, we mix it all up with some spice of horror, sweetness of tying up family matters and some struggle of kinkiness on the bed. We have trailers for you from Fox Searchlight's The Descendants, Relativity Media's Shark Night 3D and Sony's Friends With Benefits.

THE DESCENDANTS

From Alexander Payne, the creator of the Oscar-winning SIDEWAYS, set in Hawaii, THE DESCENDANTS is a sometimes humorous, sometimes tragic journey for Matt King (George Clooney) an indifferent husband and father of two girls, who is forced to re-examine his past and embrace his future when his wife suffers a boating accident off of Waikiki. The event leads to a rapprochement with his young daughters while Matt wrestles with a decision to sell the family's land handed down from Hawaiian royalty and missionaries. It is based on the novel by Kaui Hart Hemmings.

Release date will be on December 16 in the United states. No words on Malaysian release yet.

SHARK NIGHT 3D

Relativity Media has released the first in-sight trailer from David R. Ellis' directed shark horror feast, Shark Night in 3D. The movie stars Sara Paxton, Dustin Milligan, Katharine McPhee, Chris Carmack, Alyssa Diaz, Joel David Moore, Donal Logue, Sinqua Walls and Chris Zylka. The story revolves around seven male and female college friends who spend a weekend at a lake house in Louisiana’s Gulf area. When their vacation quickly becomes a nightmare of hellish shark attacks, unheard of in freshwater lakes, they soon discover that the sharks are part of a sick, greedy plan on the part of several locals.

The film opens on September 2 in United States while Malaysian audience may have to wait! It feels more like Hostel than Piranha...

FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS

Sony Screen Gems released an international trailer that takes things into more of sexuality action and talks, rather than a piece of fun humongous comedy that we have seen in the first trailer. The story centers around two professionals who meet but are too busy to find a mate. They agree to have an intimate relationship with no strings attached. Things get complicated when the guy falls for the girl, who’s dating someone else. We have seen that piece of drama on the first trailer which you can view back at here.

This, however, features more bed actions:

Will Gluck who previously directed Easy A is on this one as well. The Sony's Screen Gems pic will be released on July 22 in the United States and September 22 in Malaysia.
