WAR HORSE

"War Horse" is a film directed by Steven Spielberg, based on a children's fiction novel of same title, written by Michael Morpurgo and published in the year 1982. DreamWorks Studios has released a teaser this morning to allow us the first opportunity to access the movie, in which many in the industry believe that "War Horse" is a hopeful entry into the next season's Oscar race. It is also one of the two movies in which Spielberg directs to be released on the same month. The other is "The adventure of Tintin", due to be released less than a week earlier. Here's the teaser trailer for you to enjoy below:

The official synopsis for War Horse is as follows:
"From director Steven Spielberg comes “War Horse,” an epic adventure for audiences of all ages. Set against a sweeping canvas of rural England and Europe during the First World War, “War Horse” begins with the remarkable friendship between a horse named Joey and a young man called Albert, who tames and trains him. When they are forcefully parted, the film follows the extraordinary journey of the horse as he moves through the war, changing and inspiring the lives of all those he meets—British cavalry, German soldiers, and a French farmer and his granddaughter—before the story reaches its emotional climax in the heart of No Man’s Land. The First World War is experienced through the journey of this horse—an odyssey of joy and sorrow, passionate friendship and high adventure. “War Horse” is one of the great stories of friendship and war—a successful book, it was turned into a hugely successful international theatrical hit that is arriving on Broadway next year. It now comes to screen in an epic adaptation by one of the great directors in film history."

Upon superficial, everything you see, you hear and you feel are so "Steven Spielberg". Unfortunately, you don't get anything from this trailer about its story or any emotional journey of love and loyalty. It's true, the cinematographic shots are amazing but still void of substances to sell. It looks just like one of the trailer for The Tree of Life, no? Anyway, it arrives on the theaters on December 28 in the United States and a day later here.

HORRIBLE BOSSES

"Horrible Boss" is an upcoming black comedy film directed by Seth Gordon and starring an ensemble casts of Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx, Jason Sudeikis, and Kevin Spacey. Warner Bros and New Line Cinemas have released a new red band trailer to push this dark comedy ahead of its release on July 8. Check out the trailer below which contains many references to profanity and vulgar words:

Story-wise, three friends, Nick Hendricks (Jason Bateman), Dale Arbus (Charlie Day) and Kurt Buckman (Jason Sudeikis), conspire to murder their respective bosses – Dave Harken (Kevin Spacey), Dr. Julia Harris (Jennifer Aniston) and Bobby Pellitt (Colin Farrell) – when they realize they are standing in the way of their happiness. Ouch, luckily, the trailer doesn't look horrible.
