It’s a bird! No, it’s a plane! No, it’s Superman. With the production and shooting for Zack Snyder’s Superman franchise reboot is on-going, Warner Bros has released the first image still that features lead star Henry Cavill as Superman in Man of Steel. It seems timely with this decision as Warner Bros would definitely interested to measure the gauge of fan-boys and public’s responses before they have another say of what will be altered or improved next – well that makes sense! Looks impressive? Not really what I am expecting though I have to say it is a nice introduction to the extent of refreshing what we have seen from any Superman movies or TV series Smallville. The picture does however portray a rather retro outlook on that popular DC Comics character. It is certainly decisively different from what you have seen before from Brandon Routh’s or even Tom Welling’s version of Superman. If you ask me if Henry Cavill’s Superman looks anything like the comic – I would say he doesn’t look like that part. Unfortunately, the picture doesn’t tell you much about the acting or other stuffs at all. Best to say, Zack Snyder still have his visual display kept well intact despite his stinks with Sucker Punch.
On another note, the film also stars Amy Adams (The Fighter) as Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane, and Laurence Fishburne (What's Love Got to Do with It) as her editor-in-chief, Perry White. Starring as Clark Kent's adoptive parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent, are Diane Lane and Kevin Costner (Dances with Wolves). Squaring off against the superhero are two other surviving Kryptonians, the villainous General Zod, played by Michael Shannon, and Faora, Zod's evil partner, played by Antje Traue. Also from Superman's native Krypton are Lara Lor-Van, Superman's mother, played by Julia Ormond, and Superman's father, Jor-El, portrayed by Russell Crowe (Gladiator).
Man od Steel is produced by Christopher Nolan among others with screenplay was wrutte by David S Goyer, based on the popular character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Man of Steel arrives in the cinemas in the summer of 2013.
