It's been a while now but then we only got the actual and legit trailer up online. After days of been treated with ill-quality bootlegged trailer, it's time to savor ourselves with a real deal. Presenting the first full trailer for The Dark Knight Rises, the next and last in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. The brand new trailer that features a time of peace and massive mayhem in the streets of Gotham can be viewed after the jump.
It's been more than five months when Warner Bros released a teaser trailer that shows almost nothing - merely just an announcement teaser that met with mixed reactions. Last week, several industry websites have already been reported on the release of the 6-minute prologue in IMAX quality for which they called jubilant. Today, a brand new trailer is now up online and the reactions are definitely positive.
It is rather epic and monstrous after watching it. I think Christopher Nolan does fulfill what we want - at least some. The new full-length trailer does offer a glimpse of the story, character and how things will eventually left for it to tie.
Interestingly, based on the new trailer, I found out these highlights or rather you can called it concluding statements:
- Alfred thinks that he hasn't done enough to protect Bruce, errr....ambiguous yet noble act of an old man to serve his master.
- Gotham City has been in a peace and calm state following the events in The Dark Knight when The Joker ran the streets and the death of D.A. Harvey Dent. It's been 8 years anyway.
- Who is this Selina Kyle? I previously thought she would be both villain and protagonist - at least that's what I thought. Anna Hathaway does some decent job in bringing the character and certainly better than those early doubts. She warns Bruce Wayne of something dark about to emerge on the street of Gotham.
- Damn you Bane! What devil technology you brings to Gotham?
- I can't hear you Bane! "When Gotham is in ashes, you have my permission to die"
- This movie just reminds me of Inception 2. Here's the question, how Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotilard will fit into the story?
- Batwing + Batmobile + Bat tumblr = Hot action!!
Now the trailer is released, tell me what you think?
The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Daniel Sunjata and Nestor Carbonell. It will open in regular and IMAX theaters around the U.S. on July 20th, 2012.
