The production of The Hobbit has been stalled for years now that in early stage, many fear that this project would not get a head-start if MGM, the right holder does not settle its bankruptcy soon. Nevertheless, that misery chapter has gone and now we have a proper movie to watch. Warner Bros and New Line Cinemas have unveiled the first look in the The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. This is of course the first part of the two-planned movies taken as an adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit. The first look will be upon you in the form of teaser trailer. Catch it right after the jump.

The official synopsis of The Hobbit, once again directed by Peter Jackson as an expansion and semi-prequel to the Lord of the Rings trilogy, is as follows:
“The Hobbit” follows the journey of title character Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey (Ian McKellen), Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage). Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers.

The Hobbits will feature a large ensemble castings like Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, Ian McKellen as Gandalf, Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield, Graham McTavish as Dwalin, Andy Serkis as my preciously Gollum, Christopher Lee as Saruman the White, Benedict Cumberbatch as Smaug the dragon, Hugo Weaving, James Nesbitt, Orlando Bloom, Ian Holm and Elijah Wood.
