Last year, Golden Screen Cinemas brought you a one-night only psychedelic experience by bringing in one of the world's most popular rock band from United Kingdom - Coldplay, to the big screen. You can read about it from here and a special review at this link. Coldplay Live 2012 was one of the first rare alternative contents ever provided by the largest cinema chain in Malaysia. Continuing this rather new form of entertainment into a bigger and wider cinematic experience, Golden Screen Cinemas is proud to bring you Andrea Bocelli: Love in Portofino beginning this Thursday.
Andrea Bocelli is the world's most beloved tenor, with career spanning over 2 decades and several awards under his belt. He recently releases a new album - "Passione", which contains critically acclaimed works and collaborations with Nelly Furtado, Jennifer Lopez and a virtual duet with the legendary French singer Edith Piaf. "Passione" is produced by super-producer David Foster with Mediterranean pop is the main signature. To coincide with the release of the album on 29 January 2013, a concert movie entitled Love in Portofino is planned for global release.
Playing to a specially invited audience at the Piazzetta in Portofino, Italy, the concert movie allows the cinema audiences and fans to experience the most successful classical solo artist ever. The concert movie will features some of his signature songs like "A Mano A Mano", "La Vie en Rose" and "Love Me Tender" and many more. Also included are the collaborations with Caroline Campbell, Helene Fischer, Chris Botti, Veronica Berti and Sandy, all backed up by a 40 piece orchestra and rhythm section.

The concert movie will be exclusively for all yours beginning 21 March 2013 in limited 3-weeks engagement at selected ten GSC locations. The participating locations are GSC Mid Valley, GSC 1 Utama, GSC Pavilion KL, GSC Signature, GSC Tropicana Mall, GSC Paradigm Mall, GSC Setia City Mall, GSC Gurney Plaza, GSC Dataran Pahlawan and GSC Suria Sabah. Ticketing and showtimes are not updated yet at the time of press.
