Here is another rumour and this news is not quite been affirmed yet, so yes, treat it as a rumour.
The latest update on Thor has that the casting of three companion warriors to Thor. With filming on Kenneth Branagh's Thor set to begin in January, Variety initially reported that Stuart Townsend, Ray Stevenson and Japanese star Tadanobu Asano have signed on to play Thor’s loyal friends and back-up muscle, the Warriors Three. Not soon before the article has disappeared.
Remember the post I had couple of months ago regarding the casts of the movie Thor? The list is still stand as it is with the inclusion of Anthony Hopkins and Stellan Skarsgard perhaps.
