Do you know what is Green Tea Movie's top ambition all these while? Of course, it has been a great desire for me to attend and to cover the annual Comic-Con in San Diego that is. Unfortunately, Green Tea Movie will have to stick in Malaysia, so it will be another customary of seeing people having fun and reading people's experience at Comic-Con. No worry, even if I am not there, I am here to bring you some updates on the on-going Comic-Con 2011 at San Diego. From CS: Directed by Gary Ross and opening on March 23, 2012, The Hunger Games chronicles a dystopic Capitol which requires its twelve subjugated districts to pay tribute in the form of a teenage boy and girl, forced to participate in the annual "Hunger Games," a fight-to-the-death live televised event. Katniss Everdeen's little sister is chosen in the lottery to participate and Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) volunteers to take her place. Although persevering through hardship is commonplace for Katniss, she must start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love in order to win the games and return home.
REMARKS: I have not read the novel yet! Is it any good? Anyway, the movie version arrives on March 23 in Malaysia too.

#2: FIRST LOOK ON SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT'S "THE DARKEST HOUR"

From CS: The Darkest Hour, opening on December 23, follows five young people who find themselves stranded in Moscow, fighting to survive in the wake of a devastating alien attack. The studio says that "the 3D action thriller highlights the classic beauty of Moscow alongside mind-blowing special effects from the minds of visionary filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov ('Wanted,' 'Night Watch') and director Chris Gorak.
REMARKS: Welcome to yet another alien invasion film and is coming on Christmas in the United States. Malaysians will have to wait till January 5, 2012.

#3: THE AVENGERS HAS A TEASER POSTER

When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Written and directed by Joss Whedon, the action adventure stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Clark Gregg, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård and Amanda Righetti.

#4: HILLARY SWANK TO STAR AND PRODUCE "SHRAPNEL"
NEWS: Shrapnel is the latest comic book from Radical Publishing to receive a movie treatment. After Oblivious, the movie studio Radical Pictures has signed Hillary Swank to produce and taking the lead role, as reported by Coming Soon. Toby Wagstaff will write the script for the sci-fi film.
The comic is set in the year 2250 and follows a former Solar Alliance Marine (Swank), who spearheads an uprising on Venus, the last free colony, against an oppressive solar government in order to fight for the freedom of her people. Nick Sagan and M. Zachary Sherman wrote the comic book adaptation, which is based on an original creation by Sagan and Mark Long.
