THE VERDICT:

Green Tea says:

If you are expecting this to be much better than the first film, no, it will not be. I still think the first one was better and funnier. Don't get too disappointed anyway. The Pink Panther is back anyway. The plotline of the movie was silly, illogical but otherwise hilarious to follow. You may get quite a number of profanity and adult jokes but don't worry there were harmless. Slapstick humours do worked well in this case, I think you might even enjoy them.

WARNING SPOILER! Remember the illogical, non-sense plot it had in the first film? Yes, here we go again. Just drop your brain and laugh all the way throughout the movie. I'm serious. The best parts were you are able to see how Inspector Clouseau burnt a restaurant twice, get his butt kicked by 2 karate kids, how he managed to investigate a thief again and so on.

The movie talks about the thief of the world's most priceless artifacts in Britain, Italy, France and Japan. Therefore, a Dream Team comprising detectives from these countries were called to solve it. The best part was Clouseau represented the French. Things get out of control when these four each showed their egoism and later were joined by an Indian beauty expert in criminology.

The Pink Panther 2 gathered a huge assemble of great casts. Steve Martin the usual funny man. Alfred Molina, the Octopus in Spider Man 2. Jay Reno, the awesome one from Ronin. Andy Garcia, the legend from The GodFather 3. The list just go on and on. Unfortunately, only Steve was crazy enough, while others were just sat back. I personally think this was an only Steve-Martin-doing-stupid-stuffs-movie. Jay Reno and Emily Mortimer were under-performed while the biggest disappointment would be Aishwarya Rai. She had less impact in the movie and I was surprise on her role in the movie which was insignificant and surprisingly undeveloped.

You are encouraged to watch this movie but don't expect too much for it. Funny but you may think that this is not as funny as the first one. Anyway, everything that you see is just as similar as the first one. Just give it a try if you really need to kill the time or you felt depressed. It works.
