In 1994, James Cameron’s True Lies was a popular hit, spawning an Oscar and a Golden Globe nomination. True Lies, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jamie Lee Curtis and Tom Arnold was a commercial success. The story about tackling terrorism was in fact one of the most prominent in Governor Arnie’s career. Ever since, talks about a sequel have been on fire since 2002.
Tom Arnold has told The New York Times that True Lies sequel may possibly happen. No plot, no script, no official words yet. Arnold said that "Jim Cameron’s making it and Arnold [Schwarzenegger] and I are going to be in it, and it starts shooting in fourteen months, the day after Arnold stops being governor of California. It’s not going to be called True Lies 2, but it might as well be. I can live with that.”
