The world’s most sought film makers, Guillermo Del Toro has combined a new force with Disney to create a new label known as Disney Double Dare You. The new label house under Walt Disney will be focusing on scary animated movies aim at scaring a generation of adults, similar to previous Del Toro’s work in Pan’s Labyrinth and The Devil’s Backbone.The first assigned project is an animated fare based on Del Toro’s idea himself – Trollhunters. Del Toro in the recent Disney’s D23, told EO that all projects under Disney Double Dare You will have a common trait (not sure what or how they will all having a common trait) and Trollhunters was inspired by a long-ago visit to Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion.
"I love to take audiences into fantastic new worlds and provide them with some anxious moments in the process," Del Toro said. "It is part of the Disney canon to create thrilling, unforgettable moments and villains in all their classic films. It is my privilege for Double Dare You to continue in this tradition." - EO
