We haven't even watch Sherlock Holmes yet but Guy Ritchie's reinvention of the popular detective from Scotland Yard has been a phenomenon. Warner Bros is certainly confident that it will be a hit, thus comes a full-blown package for you – a sequel and Brad Pitt. [Source: EO]
The news has that Brad Pitt is in the talks to play the part of Professor Moriarty in the sequel. For those who grew up reading Sherlock Holmes, they all know that Moriarty is the deadly nemesis that needs no introduction. In the earlier reports (including this) has mentioned that the role may eventually appear in this December when the news surfaced that additional shooting was underwent with Pitt seems to have appeared around.
While the rumours have not been confirmed yet, the fans are cheering for it now. However, even if Mr. Moriarty did appear in the first movie, we believe he would have been unrecognizable in the movie. So, just wait and see.
The strategy of preparing a sequel before the first movie is out can be a gamble. However, Kieran and Michele Mulroney has apparently are in the midst with a screenplay which apparently, like the original version. But we do hope that Sherlock Holmes will not sink this winter so we can see a sequel, like any other movies right?
