New Line Cinema, the subsidiary of Warner Bros has announced their intention to develop a new National Lampoon's Vacation movie. Now that the franchise is not something we familiar, I bet your parents may have watched it back in the days of 80s and 90s. Spawned several great films over the years, New Line's Sam Brown has been stumbled on this franchise and decided to make something new about it.
The new National Lampoon's Vacation will focus on Rusty Griswold, son of Chevy Chase's Clark Griswold. Rusty is now a father himself and he is now on his own unspecified family vacation.
David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers, Mr Woodcock) is attached to produce and probably to direct as well. New Line are busy looking for writers currently.
