NO KURTZMAN AND ORCI FOR TRANSFORMERS 3

I heard that the duo will not be returning to write for the upcoming second sequel for the Transformers franchise. With Transformers 3 scheduled for a 2011 release, it seems that the time is running out. The rumour about the departure of the pair has been on the net since March but it was today on the forum run by Transformers producer Don Murphy has confirmed it all.

Yes, the creative duo behind the screenplays of Star Trek and the current TV hit series Fringe will not involve for Transformers 3.

Back in March in a forum post, Roberto Orci said, "Time for fresh blood! The main reason we would move on is because we risk getting stale and comfortable. If you only sing one song for too long, you miss the opportunity to sing news songs. We’ll see.” Today, one poster asked if both really will not be returning for the third film to which Orci replied, "It's true".

With the departure of both, the burden of creating a better screenplay for the third film will heavily lies on the shoulders of Ehren Kruger. The three of them wrote the screenplay for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which has been panned by movie critics but still able to fork in US$ 401 million on box office.

So, what would you expect for the next film? Revenge of the Fallen was not that bad when you remove all those unnecessary childish humor and slapstick sex hormone rage dialogue.
