CAMERON WILL BE MAKING FANTASTIC VOYAGE

There are rumours flying around about the next project for James Cameron. Considering Avatar is going for a release this week, looking for something new is probably the next thing to do.

It is now confirmed that Cameron will be developing a remake of 1966's
Fantastic Voyage with writer Shane Salerno. The latest project would be made in 3D or digital enhanced sci-fi flick, but it is also unlikely Cameron will direct. Instead he is vying to serve only as a producer.

Fantastic Voyage is a weird sci-fi where the original 1966's flick saw a team of scientists miniaturized and injected into the bloodstream of a diplomat who barely survives an assassination attempt. Trouble is, the man's body isn't exactly happy about the new arrivals, and the crew must also deal with a traitor in their midst.

Considering the usage of new kind of technology Cameron has developed for Avatar, this sci-fi is possible to make.
