JACK FROST FOR LEONARDO DICAPRIO

DreamWorks has secured a deal to have Leonardo DiCaprio to voice Jack Frost in a new cartoon adventure, The Guardian. The Guardian, is of course, an adaptation by David Lindsay-Abaire from William Joyce's upcoming novel series The Guardian Of Childhood.

According to EO and a reliable source in DreamWorks, the movie will tell "An evil spirit called Pitch hatches a plot to take over the world by scaring kids everywhere. A group of our greatest heroes - including Santa, The Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and Jack Frost (DiCaprio), will join together to use their various powers to fight the fresh danger."

Peter Ramsey is directing with assistance from Joyce, who will publish the first book only in 2011. The things seems still in early production so nothing here is can be considered concrete yet. More words on the casting news will surfaced while on mean time, the film will arrive in November 2012.
