BRAD BIRD FOR M:I-4, SERIOUSLY?

Mission: Impossible 4 needs a director and it badly needs one for this summer shooting. Paramount Pictures, Tom Cruise and producer JJ Abrams have been searching high and low and they have three possible list. Zombieland's Ruben Fleishcer, Brad Bird and Edgar Wright are the three. Wait, Brad Bird?

While many are tossing Ruben Fleischer up for the job, it was reported that he was indeed one of the most soughted man now. DreamWorks is currently hunting him for an untitled action comedy penned by Mike Arnold and Chris Poole - apparently they are very interested to work with him (here). Another project in his mind is 30 Minutes Or Less (here). Oh, never mind looks like he is going to passed out.

Edgar Wright is also on the list, but he may be too busy on his stuffs too, and that leaves us with Brad Bird. If you not already know, Brad Bird directed The Iron Giant, Ratatouille and The Incredibles. Basically, Bird has no experience on bringing any live-action film but we know he has a different approach to bring Ethan Hunt's movie to live.

Why it is not clear who will be taking the job, Paramount is keen to start filming as soon as this summer based on screenplay by Andre Nemec and Josh Applebaum.
