Yesterday, I reported that Sony's Green Hornet could be in much trouble because the studio has reportedly displeased with the outcome of the Michel Gondry-directed and Seth Rogen-written superhero movie. Sony execs has been calling the film as "been too campy, not happy with the works from director Gondry and Seth Rogen does not look the part."
Today, Indiewire ditched those rumours. They reported that Sony spokeperson Steve Elzer responded on the rumours by saying that piece of news was "completely garbage" and "unfounded". He added, “The stuff that has been shown to us is remarkable. We fully support [Gondry] and are confident in the direction he is heading.”
On the other hand, it seems that Summit Entertainment was rumoured to have to embark on reshoots for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Well reshoot is common but rumour was that the Eclipse director David Slade would not be involved and that the studio is trying to reach out for previous Twilight directors like Catherine Hardwicke and Chris Weitz. and, supposedly that David Slade's relationship with Summit has eroded too.
Well, Summit Entertainment has reportedly dismissed the rumours (though not via official statement) that indeed the reshoot will take place, but under Slade's direction. They also insisted that their relationship with Slade is fine.
Well, rumours come rumours go. We will see what will happen next for both movie though.
