The role of Peggy Carter has been publicly searched up and down over the last couple of weeks. It looks like again another major upset occur. Let us recap again the whole process, shall we?
First, we were made known that Marvel Studio and Joe Johnston have announced the screen testing for the main female lead for the upcoming The First Avenger: Captain America. So, at that moment as well we have Alice Eve, Emily Blunt and Kiera Kinightley were all in the running for the role.
Then, Blunt bowed out from the job, while Kiera Knightley never made any spotlight about the job at all. So, it leaves Alice Eve alone as the frontrunner and the most likely to be casted. Fellow Briton Hayley Atwell was also added in as the top runners immediately after that.

Hayley Atwell. Well, who is she you ask? She is Londoner and first appeared in Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream and later also appeared in films like The Duchess and Brideshead Revisited. Not so much to talk about on her filmography resume but she sets to make it a big one when she is set to star opposite Chris Evans.
