Howard Stark is of course the father of Tony Stark. He will play a pivotal role in The First Avenger: Captain America because 1) he existed during the World War 2 2) he co-founded SHIELD 3) he created the shield for Captain America. With all the Marvel news today, it is easy slip or mistaken any of those as rumours. Here is another rumours.
While it becomes a necessary that Howard Stark is a must in the new movie, who can carry his shoe? We do not need John Slattery's version which is a bit too old for the 30-year-old something weaponry whiz in Captain America. We need a younger version and thus comes this rumoured candidate - Dominic Cooper. Is this true? Apparently the news came confirmed by the actor himself during promotional round in Cannes.
Cooper's casting into the Joe Johnston's movie is not a surprising move if it is true that he indeed has signed in for the role. After all for many months, he has been rumoured to play Fandral in Thor and Marvel Studio must have been very pleased with him after all that the role could be his. Like many other things in Marvel Studio, these remain as mysterious as the Nathan Fillon's supposedly locked in for Ant Man. We do not know but coming this July's San Diego Comic Con, we hope to hear for more.
