Recently we reported that the casting in the upcoming DJ Caruso alien adventure I Am Number Four have Sharlto Copley, Alex Pettyfer, Dianna Agron, Theresa Palmer and Kevin Durand in. But now the latest news have that Sharlto Copley is out. Reason? Conflicting schedule with Copley’s commitment for the promotional tour for The A-Team. Of course, we all know by now that Copley is starring in the action comedy as Howling Mad Murdock.
But fear not, with Sharlto Copley is out, they already have a replacement. Timothy Olyphant (The Crazies, Hitman and Die Hard 4) will be replacing the shoe for the alien’s mentor on Earth.
For those who never heard of I Am Number Four before, the story revolves around a group of nine earthbound aliens who escaped their planet just before it was annihilated by a rival species. Hiding out on Earth, disguised as a human teenager, the title character discovers that he is being hunted by the enemy that destroyed his planet.
This film is going to be big – because the name DJ Caruso is on the director seat. Not enough? How about throwing in Steven Spielberg and Michael Bay on the producer role?
