MICHEAL FASSBANDER IS VILLAIN IN X-MEN AND SPIDER-MAN?

Words from Screen Rant have that the German actor Michael Fassbander has been offered the role of Eric Lensherr/Magneto in Matthew Vaughn's upcoming X-Men: The First Class. To excite you even more, he was also been offered a role for the main villain in Marc Webb's Spider-Man reboot. So, it's another surprise news because doing casting for an actor for two different movie at the same time is highly unconventional.

Who is Michael Fassbander you ask? You may not recognize him but he has role in 300 and Inglourious Basterds, as well as the upcoming Jonah Hex. Talking about unconventional, both projects are not under direct touch by Marvel Studios itself. X-Men is set up at Fox while the planned Spider-Man reboot is at Sony. Considering the timing of release, it is still possible (although difficult) for him to spend time between the two sets. Fox's fast-pace production will see X-Men: The First Class opening next year while Spider-Man is set to hit the theater in Summer 2012.

So my guessing is still Fassbander will able to start doing the X-Men first. But, it's highly unlikely that he will continue to do the Spidey movie after that because production may run simultaneously. The other interesting point is that James McAvoy has recently casted for Professor X - thus setting up a highly anticipated and intriguing screen sharing between them.

So what do you think about their partnership? Should Fassbander accept the Spidey or the X-Men?
