NEWS IN BRIEF JUNE 15, 2010

You probably should blamed the on-going World Cup, seriously! If it was not because of the on-going World Cup, I would still continue reporting stuffs here. Since World Cup has consumed so much of my time, I decided to run a short update here. GREEN TEA MOVIE would like to apologize for lack of news reporting on this site. We should be able to continue the usual business once the World Cup has entered the knock-out stage.

Otherwise, here are some news in brief for the past weekend!


[CLASH OF THE TITANS 2] Warner Bros over the weekend has confirmed progression of the sequel to the much "damned" and "bad 3D" in Clash Of The Titans. With a budget of $125 million and an income exceeding $400 million, a sequel looks obtainable. Louis Letterrier will not return to direct, instead WB has Battle: Los Angeles' director Jonathan Liebesman has been sought to do so (SR). The production may go as early as early next year. In the mean time, a new writers have been brought on board in the form of Dan Mazeau and David Leslie Johnson (SR).




[VOLTRON] Early report says that the movie based on the popular robotic-hybrid animation is dead. However, when speaking to MTV, producers Richard Suckle and Ted Koplar insisted that the movie is still in development. (SR)


[PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES] Actor Geoffrey Rush is officially on board the POTC4, reprising his role as Captain Barbossa. This is confirmed by Variety. With the missing of both Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightley on the new film, Rush will join the great cast ensemble of Johnny Depp, Ian McShane, Penelope Cruz and Stephen Graham. (SR)

[RED DAWN] The remake of Red Dawn which is currently on its post-production, may get delayed as the result of financial scrutiny at MGM. MGM announced that the movie's release is delayed indefinitely. The remake joins other two big productions at MGM which also received the similar fate - Bond 23 and The Hobbit.
