Deadline reported that Sony's Columbia Pictures is a step behind to announce the new actor that will reprise the web-slinging superhero. Spider-Man reboot is expected to be ready in cinemas in 2012 in 3D format. According to the report, the studio has viewed the screen tests of most of the young actors who were also previously considered back in January. You can read the news back in January here at Green Tea Movie where ten actors were rumoured back then.

While the screen tests have yet to yield any result, it should be expected that announcement on who will win the job is drawing near too. You can see who's on the list of those screen tests been viewed and now are currently been considered below:

Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) will be directing the reboot, aiming to relaunch the franchise which previous director Sam Raimi has envisioned with Peter Parker's role was held by Tobey Macguire. While till this day I still don't understand nor agree on the decision why rebooting such a successful franchise from Sam Raimi, I hope Sony know what they are doing is right. The production which based on script by James Vanderbilt should begin production before the year end.
