TRON LEGACY

Walt Disney premiered a full length second trailer for Tron Legacy, a sequel to the cult classic that hit the world back in 1982. 28 years have gone and the sequel will continue the adventure of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), with his long lost son Sam (Garrett Hedlund) now joining him inside the computer world known as CLU. The latest trailer form Comic-Con looked awesome and I bet you should just watch it to enjoy it. Tron: Legacy stars Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Bruce Boxleitner and Michael Sheen. Tron Legacy opens on December 17 (USA) and December 16 in Malaysia.

Here is the synopsis from Walt Disney:
TRON: LEGACY is a 3D action-packed adventure set in a digital world unlike anything captured on the big screen. Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), a rebellious 27-year-old, is haunted by the mysterious disappearance of his father Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), a man once known as the world's leading video-game developer. When Sam investigates a strange signal sent from the abandoned Flynn's Arcade -- that could have only come from his father -- he finds himself pulled into a world where Kevin has been trapped for 20 years. With the help of the fearless warrior Quorra (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-or-death journey across a visually-stunning digital universe -- created by Kevin himself -- which has become far more advanced with never-before-imagined vehicles, weapons, and landscapes and a ruthless villain who will stop at nothing to prevent their escape.

MEGAMIND

Tom McGrath directs this animation and just like the recently released Universal's Despicable Me, this animation deals largely about what is like to be a super-villain. Megamind is the most brilliant supervillain the world has ever known - but also the least successful. Over the years he has tried to take over Metro City in every imaginable way but each attempt a failure thanks to the superhero known as "Metro Man". Will Ferell will be the super-villain this time and standing tall in front of him is Brad Pitt. Arghh, if only matter is that easy! The DreamWorks' animation also stars Jonah Hill, Tina Fey and David Cross. Looks like villain is the best next thing? Catch Megamind on November 5 in USA and a day earlier in Malaysia. Oh wait, does Megamind remind me of Lex Luther? Anyway, catch the Comic-Con trailer below with music accompanying by AC/DC's Highway To Hell:

MONSTERS

Sci-fi and micro budget. Ring any bell? Yes, in the likelihood of achieving the similar success as District 9, Vertigo Films produces Monsters, an upcoming extra-terrestrial science fiction film that has been slated for release this October 29 under Magnolia Pictures releasing. Plot-wise, alien life forms have spread throughout central America leading to the quarantine of half of Mexico. The U.S. and Mexican militaries are battling to contain the creatures, with a wall stretching along the American border. The story follows Andrew an American photojournalist who is tracking down the rich-kid daughter of his boss and their journey back to America through the 'infected zone'. Could this be mimicking the success of District 9? With relatively unknown casting of Whitney Able and Scoot McNairy, watch the teaser terror yourself:

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDE

Yo ho yo ho, the pirates life for me - Captain Jack Sparrow is back again. Yes you may have know that the fourth adventure of Pirates Of The Caribbean is now under filming. Walt Disney has released the first teaser trailer for the epic swashbuckling adventure, and I have to say that the teaser is not something usual. Oh God, it does not look like a teaser after all. Nah, forget about it. See for yourself the teaser exclusively from Comic-Con or else, wait till 20 May 2011 to see the final product in 3D.

THE GOON

Another comic book adaptation? Yes, Eric Powell wrote himself this animation which is based on the cult comic from Dark Horse Entertainment, created in 1999. The comic follows the adventures of a muscle-bound brawler who claims to be the primary enforcer for a feared mobster. The stories have a paranormal and comedic edge to them and concern ghosts, zombies, mad scientists and "skunk apes." Weird enough we are not so sure when is this movie going to be released. Watch the trailer below which was debuted during the Comic-Con. Paul Giamatti stars. This zombie movie looks good!

PRIEST

Last but not least, Sony Screen Gems debuted the first teaser trailer for the upcoming action horror, Priest, based on the TokyoPop adaptation, originally a comic written by Hyung Min-Woo. A warrior priest (Paul Bettany) disobeys Church law by teaming with a young sheriff (Cam Gigandet) and a beautiful priestess (Maggie Q). The three band together to track down a band of renegade vampires who have kidnapped the priest's niece before they turn her into one of them. The two-minutes trailer has an extended viewing and allow us to get a glimpse closer to the movie before its release next summer. The movie stars Paul Bettany, Maggie Q, Cam Gigandet, Karl Urban and Christopher Plummer arrives on May 12 next year in 3D and normal format. Scott Stewart directs and please watch the trailer below:
