TRAILER FOR BATTLE LOS ANGELES HAS ARRIVED

If Skyline gives you some serious feeling to dishonor that movie, you are welcome to do so. Noted that Skyline isn't just a movie that works because the directors Strausse Brothers aren't a great story-teller. But the next thing may be something a little implicating and worrisome after all. The trailer for Battle: Los Angeles has arrived. Fear not, it won't bite to have a watch below right?

As I mentioned it again, fear not - Battle Los Angeles may resembles Skyline in many other ways including the involvement of Strausse Brothers in this new film as a special effect supervisor. Jonathan Liebesman has been involved in many thriller and horror movies like Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel. His highly recognizable skills as the director has also attracts Warner Bros to offer him a deal for Clash of the Titans sequel, now known as Wraith of the Titans.

Now turning back to the movie, Battle: Los Angeles, also known as World Invasion: Battle LA outside the U.S., is an upcoming science fiction film directed by South African filmmaker Jonathan Liebesman, and starring Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez, Michael Pena, and Bridget Moynahan. The film premise is inspired from the Battle of Los Angeles incident. The 1941 World War 2 accident is highly regarded both been the first sign of the alien invasion on Earth (either it is actually alien or not, this statement remain debatable) or probably an american propaganda during the War. Read the whole story about Battle of Los Angeles incident in Wikipedia.

Battle: Los Angeles revolves around a Marine staff sergeant (Eckhart) and his new platoon's battle against an alien invasion on the streets of Los Angeles. The movie is presented as an intense real-time war movie from the perspective of the Marines. It has been described by some as "Black Hawk Down meets Independence Day".

The movie is now slated for March 11 (my birthday), 2011 for release in US and March 17 in Malaysia
