Yes, penguins are cute! When you have Jim Carrey and Carla Gugino with the six penguins, all hells break loose.  The children's book is written by Richard and Florence Atwater in 1938, tells the story of a poor house painter named Mr Popper. This book is often included in the reading curriculum in grades 2, 3, or 4 of American elementary schools.

However, in 2011, there will be some changes made to the series in order to get adapted into a summer movie. The upcoming live action comedy will be now released on June 17, 2011 and will now show Mr Popper as a driven businessman who is clueless when it comes to the important things in life—until he inherits six penguins. Popper's penguins turn his swank New York apartment into a snowy winter wonderland—and the rest of his life upside-down. Plus, we have a snowy summer now.

The trailer, well represents some of niche and cliche of a family entertainment. It looks ridiculously fun as usual but it worths a shot. At least it is by Jim Carrey and also by Mark Waters, whose misdemeanor works on Mean Girls and The Spiderwick Chronicles have chunked out pretty well. So prepare to turn your house into a winter-land? I'll bet is a yes!
