The Bourne Legacy is the supposed fourth series in the amazing action thriller that involves one former agent motivated by the past and present to take down CIA's most dangerous mind program. Yes, without the involvement of previous star Matt Damon and director Paull Greengrass, the franchise will continue in a new hands. Words out that Universal Pictures is interested to have Edward Norton to join the movie. Details after the jump.
With The Bourne Legacy been treated with a new direction that is equipped with new creative teams and castings. Do bear in my mind that The Bourne Legacy does not serve as a sequel to previous three movies, but rather plays along a same timeline (albeit parallel storyline) and taking the same elements in terms of political and ideology. So to say, Jason Bourne (played by Matt Damon) was not the only one from the secret brain-washing program that has the same fate and desire to fight back, hence a new lead role played by Jeremy Renner sets to appear in this new film.
Slash Film picked up a story from Variety, that Edward Norton is now in talks with the Unoversal Studios to play a villain. However, we are not given specific details of who or what this villain would be. For the time been, the enrollment of Edward Norton seems amazing from my perspective. He has good charisma, good entity and good add-up to a pivotal action thriller genre.
Currently only Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz are attached to star in the movie. Tony Gilroy will write and direct the movie.
