RUMOR: First up, Variety and Coming Soon broke the news that Emma Stone is the latest name to be attached to Ruben Fleischer's "Gangster Squad". For months, Warner Bros have been assembling a great list of talents into what appears to be an exciting period drama, akin to "L.A. Confidential."
The movie is written by Will Beal, which itself an adaptation from a series of L.A. Times articles, explores the true story of a band of secret "off the record" police task force who went after Meyer Harris "Mickey" Cohen, a high-profile gangster who was a member of the "Jewish Mafia" in the 1940's. The current cast includes Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin, Anthony Mackie, Michael Peña and Giovanni Ribisi. According to the reports, Stone would play the role Jean who caught in a love triangle with mobster Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) and Ryan Gosling's character. If she signs in, this will re-team Stone with her Zombieland director.

RUMOR: Nicolas Cage and John Cusack are in talks to star in the upcoming "The Frozen Ground". The movie project is an actual event, based on the event surrounding Alaskan 'serial predator' Robert Hansen who abducted, sexually assaulted and hunted women during the early 80s. Here's what Slash Film and Deadline have to offer:
"Cusack is in talks to play a respected family man who for over 12 years abducted more than 24 women and flew them into the Alaskan wilderness to be hunted. Cage is in talks to play a principled and dedicated Alaskan State Trooper who finds Hansen’s only surviving teen victim alive on the street. The trooper and the young girl finally bring Hansen to justice."
