Do you know what is Green Tea Movie's top ambition all these while? Of course, it has been a great desire for me to attend and to cover the annual Comic-Con in San Diego that is. Unfortunately, Green Tea Movie will have to stick in Malaysia, so it will be another customary of seeing people having fun and reading people's experience at Comic-Con. No worry, even if I am not there, I am here to bring you some updates on the on-going Comic-Con 2011 at San Diego. #1: KARL URBAN'S "DREDD" HEADING FOR SEPTEMBER 21, 2012 RELEASE

NEWS: Lionsgate is planning to release the unrelated new version, reboot or probably remake of the 1995 Judge Dredd film (which starred Sylvester Stallone) entitled "Dredd" on September 21, 2012. According to Coming Soon, is a week after Resident Evil: Retribution and the same day as Hotel Transylvania hits theaters.
Dredd is directed by Pete Travis from a script by Alex Garland and stars Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby and Lena Headey. The film takes us to the wild streets of Mega City One, the lone oasis of quasi-civilization on Cursed Earth. Judge Dredd (Urban) is the most feared of elite Street Judges, with the power to enforce the law, sentence offenders and execute them on the spot - if necessary. The movie will be available in 2D and 3D formats.

#2: RELATIVITY MEDIA TO SET UP "VOLTRON"
From CS: Relativity Media's President of Worldwide Production Tucker Tooley announced today the studio has optioned the feature film rights for Voltron from World Event Productions, and will adapt the live-action big screen version from the 1984 cult-classic animated series "Voltron: Defender of the Universe." The project was brought to Relativity through their deal with Atlas Entertainment's Charles Roven and Richard Suckle, whose company will shepherd the project.
In Voltron, an elite battle force defends the fate of mankind in the spectacular action adventure. Five young warriors are responsible for the future of the galaxy when they become pilots of a battalion of ultra-high-tech Robot Lions, powerful vessels with the ability to join together to form a fearsome mega-weapon known as "Voltron." The live-action film will be produced by Atlas Entertainment's Roven (The Dark Knight) and Richard Suckle (The International), along with Kickstart Entertainment's Jason Netter (Wanted). World Events Productions' Ted Koplar ("Voltron Force") will executive produce. The script is being penned by Thomas Dean Donnelly (Conan the Barbarian) and Joshua Oppenheimer (Sahara).

#3: RED BAND TRAILER FOR "DRIVE"
NEWS: No, this is not Drive Angry but just Drive. Starring Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston, Christina Hendricks, Ron Pearlman and Oscar Isaacs; the action drama is directed by Nicolas Winding Refn that is adapted from James Sallis's 2005 novel of the same name. For those who did not know, "Drive" has garnered a surprisingly critically appraisal reviews since it first debuted in Cannes Film Festival. On top of that, Nicolas Winding Refn won the coveted Cannes' Best Director award and the movie itself was nominated for the grand Palme d'Or (Best Pictures) too. Now, the brand new red band trailer has debuted at the recent Comic-Con which you can view below:
Opening in theaters on September 16, Drive is the story of a Hollywood stunt driver by day (Ryan Gosling), a loner by nature, who moonlights as a top-notch getaway driver-for-hire in the criminal underworld. He finds himself a target for some of LA's most dangerous men after agreeing to aid the husband of his beautiful neighbor, Irene (Carey Mulligan). When the job goes dangerously awry, the only way he can keep Irene and her son alive is to do what he does best—Drive!
