GSC WILL SURPRISE YOU THIS APRIL 1st

Green Tea Movie received one press release from Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) and thought that it would be a fool not to share this to everyone. For those who are observant or recently just had a short trip to the GSC's website or its official Facebook page, you will be greeted with one simple photo that carries the caption of "28 million people. Only 25,000 will make it. Will you be one of them?" For others, they might have be thinking this could be an April Fool's joke since the caption also states that it will be "coming to GSC, this 1st April."

Okay, just a gentle reminder. This post is not an April Fool's joke at all.

In conjunction with GSC's Silver Jubilee (that's 25th anniversary) which incidentally falls on April 1, GSC will be offering 25,000 free tickets for its 2.50pm show on April 1st (Sunday)  in all of the GSC cinemas nationwide, except GSC Signature Gardens (so that's 23 of them).

To grab those 25,000 free tickets, here are what you should do:
  1. One simply needs only to present GSC newspaper cinema listings or GSC 25,000 tickets giveaway advertisement in selected newspapers to redeem the free tickets from 10am onwards on Sunday (April 1st)  in the participating GSC cinemas
  2. Alternatively, the free ticket redemption coupons can be printed out from GSC website or GSC Facebook

Terms and conditions include:
  1. Each redemption coupon or advertisement can be used to redeem two (2) tickets each for the same screening
  2. Each person will be limited to a maximum of four (4) tickets at GSC ticketing counters, on a first-come, first-served basis while tickets last
  3. Only those age 12 years of age and above will be entitled to redeem the tickets
  4. The free tickets will exclude GSC Signature, GSC Maxx, Gold Class, Premiere Class and Digital 3D movies
  5. For movies classified 18, only those aged 18 and above will be allowed in the screening

Amongst the selected titles for the 2.50pm April 1, 2012 screenings are “Wrath of The Titans” in 35mm and digital 2D version, “Mirror Mirror”, “Jangan Pandang Pandang” (BM), “The Soul of Bread” (Chinese), “One For The Money” (18), “The Vow”, “The Hunger Games”, “Marrying Mr Perfect” (Chinese), “Nightfall” (Chinese-18) , “Jidin Sengal” (BM), “Love” (Chinese), “John Carter” (digital 2D and 35mm format), “Dr Seuss’ The Lorax”, “A Simple Life” (Chinese)  and “3X Trouble” (Chinese). To check out the selected movies in the respective GSC cinemas, please log on to www.gsc.com.my this Saturday.

According to GSC General Manager, Irving Chee:
"This is our way of thanking our customers for their continuous patronage and loyal support throughout these 25 remarkable years. GSC will continue to evolve and re-invent itself to meet the current needs of movie goers and to ensure an enriching movie going experience for movie fans. We have allocated a total of 121 halls for the 25,000 seats, which basically accounts for around 68% of GSC total seating capacity nationwide”

As promised from their recent GSC Media Night, this is one of their activities been planned throughout the year. The 25th anniversary celebration will also see GSC expanding their wings with more cinemas been launched and other key activities like a 25th Anniversary dinner for key business associates and partners, a Nationwide contest (4th quarter), Carnival Saturdays in key locations (4th quarter) and a major CSR project towards year end.
