[NOW UPDATED with new figures] While the much anticipated movie has yet to debut in the United States soil, which it will open this weekend, the Walt Disney's produced megalith superhero movie has already seeing golds worldwide. According to rough estimation, Marvel's The Avengers has scored about US$178.4 million across 39 markets worldwide.I am expecting the number to be even higher once official tally is in and Gitesh Pandya reported that it has already reached US$185 million over the first weekend. Playing in about 70 % of the international marketplace, the $220-million-dollar-tag movie has set an all time record in various parts of Latin America and Asia; while also opened big across Europe. It sets all time opening records in Mexico ($15.9 million), Brazil ($11.3 million), Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Central American and Bolivia. Also, opening launch records were set in Hong Kong ($4.6 million), Taiwan ($7.7 million), Malaysia, and the Philippines ($6.5 million). Opening day records were set in New Zealand and in Iceland.
