CASTING - WHO PLAYS WHO IN THE WOLVERINE

[UPDATE 2 - Another small little details is patching through - Brian Tee is added]:
From what we have heard in the past, The Wolverine will serves as both semi-reboot and sequel to 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine that has left the fans in distraught. 20th Century Fox has attempted many occasions in the past to do this but with the busy schedule Hugh Jackman has prevented them to do so, only till recently though. Director James Mangold (3:10 to Yuma, Knight and Day) was picked to helm for a summer 2013 release. Latest news is that it has just announced some key bits of casting - mostly Japanese to my relief. See who plays who in The Wolverine right after the jump.

It is a known fact that Wolverine will be played by Hugh Jackman. What about the others? Slash Film helps to break down for us.

Will Yun Lee (Hawaii Five-0, Red Dawn) will play Kenuichio Harada/Silver Samurai, the main antagonist.

Hiroyuki Sanada (Lost, Rush Hour 3, 47 Ronin) will play Shingen.

Hal Yamanouchi (The Way Back, Push) will play Lord Yashida, Kenuichio's illegitimate father.

Meanwhile, newcomers duo - Tao Okamoto (left) and Rila Fukushima (right) will be playing Mariko Yashida (daughter of Lord Yashida, Wolverine's love interest) and Yukio (assassin originally hired to kill Wolverine), respectively.

[UPDATED]: Brian Tee (Grimm) has been cast as Noburo Mori, a corrupt minister of justice who is slated to marry Mariko Yashida.

No plot confirmation yet but The Wolverine is set to adapt from the early Marvel comics arc by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller, which sees Wolverine traveling to Japan. The Wolverine is slated to go in front of cameras this August, shooting in Japan and Australia. The film will hit theaters July 26, 2013.
