The sequel for the 2006's survival horror Silent Hill has an official trailer attached to it now. You can watch the trailer in the video embedded after the jump - if you dare. The sequel is entitled Silent Hill: Revelation 3D. It grips a different timeline from the original movie but have some continuing elements from it. For instance; the character Christopher Da Silva (played by Sean Bean) was introduced in the first movie but of course, he went to another dimension of the world at the end of that movie. In this sequel, unknown to me on how this other dimension is now the primary dimension; Da Silva has a daughter called Heather Mason (character from Silent Hill 3 game) who experienced the nightmare and the call upon back to Silent Hill.
With the whole terror rejuvenating in the creepy town of Silent Hill, those evil characters like the iconic Pyramid Head, the dancing puppet nurses and the crawling mannequins will be back to haunt you once more. The plot premise is as follows:
Heather Mason (Clemens) and her father (Bean) have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her forever.
Silent Hill: Revelation 3D stars Adelaide Clemens, Sean Bean, Kit Harington and Carrie-Anne Moss, among others. It is written and directed by Michael J. Bassett and is scheduled to open this Halloween. I doubt this will make it to Malaysia though!
