Two official teaser trailers for Man of Steel, attached to the print of The Dark Knight Rises have go online. Man of Steel is the reboot of Superman franchise, developed for years under the banner of Christopher Nolan who produced it while Zack Snyder directs. The trailers are available after the jump.
The two sets of trailers are basically the same. They are different by the fact that one is narrated by Kevin Costner who plays Jonathan Kent and another one is narrated by Russell Crowe who plays Jor-El, biological father of Superman.
The trailers are clearly "Nolan-ized" - if you get what I mean. We see shots of Henry Cavill (supposed to don Superman but clearly not) embark in a series of road trip/world journey that can be compared well to how Bruce Wayne embarked a similar one in Batman Begins. Although Snyder is behind the camera, the presentation is clearly toned down to emphasize to the scene to tell the mythology (another Nolan's trait) rather than grandiose color as you can see in 300 or Watchmen. If this is what it feels, I do not see any problem for this movie after all when it is released next summer.
Love it or hate it, Man of Steel will arrives in cinemas on June 14 next year. Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Russell Crowe, Antje Traue, and Ayelet Zurer. It is based on a story co-coceived by Christopher Nolan and Davis S. Goyer (who also co-penned the script), and directed by Zack Snyder.
