It would be unwise to think that DC Comics will not trying to react and to respond upon Marvel's success in bringing The Avengers into a massive critical and financial success at far. Then, the problem lies on the strategies employed by DC Comics. Clearly, they don't have plan for such to happen at the moment to bring all their DC superheroes into a movie; at least from what I have heard so far. Given the fact that DC Comics has failed to generate some positive buzz for their products (that of course excluding Nolan's Batman premise), it seems difficult for them to create some positive hypes akin to what Marvel has done over the last five years. Latest rumors we heard, things about to change. Head over the jump to read more.
We understand that Warner Bros will be bringing among other, Zack Snyder's Man of Steel to the Comic Con this week and a teaser trailer will be premiered thereafter. Here is what Screen Rant has to offer:
"The teaser has been given a G rating by the Alberta Film Ratings, and is said to be about 1 minute and 27 seconds in length."
Green Tea Movie will update about the teaser as Comic Con is happening this weekend.
With the recently announced plan for a Justice League (JL) movie, Comic Book Movie offers a tip seems to suggest DC Comics is heading towards that direction; although that is still pretty much a rumor:
"Word just hit that DC and Warner Brothers are looking to announce their next slate of superhero franchises within the next month or so, and according to a source Man Of Steel may show Superman being in the same universe."
What interest me the most is what about to follow. Wonder Woman may makes a cameo in the form of reference or mention in Man of Steel:
"According to our source part of WB’s plan is to use ‘Man Of Steel’ and drop hints that Superman is in a shared universe with his DC counterparts. The hints will be very subtle such as character mentions. The one character that DC is really wanting to reference is Wonder Woman. The source was unclear on if this would be to set up a solo movie for the Amazon Princess or to the Justice League, but with the info that was just posted it seems more likely to be the JLA."
There is no concrete evidence to suggest that Wonder Woman will make a physical cameo appearance in the Superman reboot movie yet, but all points to the fact that if Man of Steel is indeed successfully released when the time comes, DC may push ahead with this plan. Again, we will update this in coming months to see.
Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill (as Superman), Amy Adams (as Lois Lane), Michael Shannon (as General Zod), Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Russell Crowe, and Laurence Fishburne. It is based on a story co-created by Christopher Nolan and Davis S. Goyer (the latter co-penned the script), and directed by Zack Snyder for June 14, 2013 release.
