TRAILER: THE HOBBIT AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY IS HERE

Let us go back to the Middle Earth, once again. Warner Bros. via New Line Cinemas and MGM have finally release the new trailer for the upcoming epic saga which is based from J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel The Hobbit. We know that the film adaptation will encompass three parts and we have the trailer for the first part embedded below, after the jump.

“From the smallest beginning, come the greatest legends.” The trailer is demonstrating what it is actually saying with great visualization and concept. There are enough moments of laughter with humors and the 13 dwarves seem inseparable. There are also some great epic action scenes going on around despite the size of the story could be smaller. While I am still skeptic about having three films to cover a single book, we already know that the film adaptation to one of the popular series in Tolkien's world will also include elements from other books too.

As opposed to the teaser trailer released last year, this is a pretty much different perspective and tone from the former teaser trailer. While the gang will still be singing to folk tunes, the trailer does it job by selling the movie solidly. As far as I am concerned, The Hobbit will definitely on my most anticipated movies of the year.

The plot synopsis is as follows:

"“The Hobbit” follows the journey of title character Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey (Ian McKellen), Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage). Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers.

Although their goal lies to the East and the wastelands of the Lonely Mountain first they must escape the goblin tunnels, where Bilbo meets the creature that will change his life forever… Gollum (Andy Serkis).

Here, alone with Gollum, on the shores of an underground lake, the unassuming Bilbo Baggins not only discovers depths of guile and courage that surprise even him, he also gains possession of Gollum’s “precious” ring that holds unexpected and useful qualities… A simple, gold ring that is tied to the fate of all Middle-Earth in ways Bilbo cannot begin to know.
"
